Ok so i need a place where i can do my wedding reception...I've looked every place I can think of...hotels and catering places are too much $ for me right now....
I looked for a place where they rented only the place, gave the chairs and tables but i had to provide the food...that for me was wonderful...when i was about to sign the contract he asked how many guests and then i told him and he said no that the fire marshall license would not allow..so now i dont have a place...
do anyone know where i can find a place in place such as Stamford, Norwalk, Greenwich in CT or Port chester, New Rochelle, WHitePlains, NY?
I would really appreciate it or any other options?
I really need the help...also my wedding is in septmeber this year...

It's not that I'm against having kids at my wedding but how is the best way to say, could you just leave them at home? The problem is I don't want to exclude the kids of close relatives(if they want to bring them), but I don't want to have to have friends bring their multiple kids to the wedding because we just don't have the room. For example one friend has 5 kids we really want them to come, but that is two tables just for them to come! What is the best way to handle this?

Everyone whines that it's tradition to wear white, in the Victorian era brides wore their best dress, black, pink, blue, red, white was not a common choice. White was only worn after Queen Elizabeth wore a white dress to her wedding. It was a trend the queen set, if she had worn silver then everyone would wear silver to immitate her. Puffy white dresses are not for eveyone, some brides have style and want to wear a black cocktail dress to have a chic wedding. Cookie cutter weddings are boring and so are all the identical puffy a-line strapless dresses everyone wears. There is nothing wrong with a black wedding dress, it's a choice based on personal taste. Why does everyone assume if you wear black you are a goth or going to a funeral, black is a powerful color that's why professionals have closets fully stocked with black suits.

Ask for a friend. He prefers a golf or scenic wedding ceremony site in south bay or middle pennisula. Ceremony only, no reception.

I have people who i work with that i would really like to come to my wedding, but we are restricted with numbers for the reception. Is it rude to invite them to come to the ceremony only? Should i send them an actual invitation? If so, how do i word it?

impossible we are both catholic. I want to go somewhere get married and have a great honeymoon. I do not care if the family is their or not. We have both been there done that. We can't decide when or where to get married. Do you think I am wrong for not wanting to include family and close friends?

Our relationship has been GREAT- amazing. Everything I could hope for.. until recently. We are getting married in two months and I really think he is getting cold feet. He keeps expressing this need to 'experience new things' and how he doesnt want his young life to go down the drain and how he doesnt care about our relationship anymore.. but when we sit down and talk about it he says he does want to marry me and does want to be with me and takes it all back.. is he just freaking out?? He is 21 too btw- I dont control him or anything, i let him go out with his friends and do whatever he wants really... I dont understand where all this is coming from... Do you think its cold feet? or should I just cancel everything and move on to someone who wont say these things to me?? Again- we have always had an AMAZING great relationship with so much love and trust- i dont understand whats happening...

If you have ever bought from Kanacca.com, what did you think of the outcome? I was considering getting the dress on the last page of the wedding dresses under Kanacca (left hand side in designer column). I just want to make sure the results are good.

My boyfriend & I have been together since freshman year of college, which was 4 1/2 years ago. Lately everytime I talk to a friend they ask if we are engaged yet. While I am anxious to get engaged to him (it will be somtime this year, I have no idea when) I am getting sick of everyone asking. On top of that I recently found out that at least once a month a few of my girlfriends talk about our wedding & what a huge & great party it is going to be. I have found out from a few other friends as well that they are expecting this great party. I am starting to feel pressured to throw this amazing & entricate wedding & while I am sure my wedding will be wonderful & fun & coordinated becuase that is the kind of person I am, I am getting sik of the pressure & being asked when are we getting engaged. Now his family is starting! How do I get them to stop? I have an obbsessive personailty & I am already starting to obsess about the wedding. I worry what will happen when we actually plan it

I plan on making the food for my wedding, which will have a cocktail party reception. I only plan on making heavy hor d'Oeuvres. I'd like to know how much of each recipe (at least 7 recipes in total) should I make that will be enough to feed at least 130 people. I'd also like to know how long in advance would I be able to keep the food in the freezer prior to the reception, as well as whether or not I should heat the food when I first prepare it or should I freeze the food, uncooked, and cook it the night/morning before the wedding?

I have never been to a bridal shower. What are good gifts for the bride? Do I get a gift for both the groom and the bride?

My best friend of 16 years is getting married, and this is my first wedding to be in. Not only is this my first wedding but I'm the maid of honor. I want to make this super special for her and we always have fun no matter what we do. I would like some unique ideas on a bachlorette party. I also am hosting the wedding shower so any fun ideas for that would be great. Our group of friends are from 21-35 and we are both 25 we live in the Minneapolis/St.Paul MN area. The wedding is in the summer/fall time so the weather will be warm. Our group is a good bunch of people and we can have a sick mind but we are not perverts!! Just love our lives and each other!!! I just want this to be the best ever!! Also any good wedding day ideas or tidbits would be wonderful!!! Thank you so much!!

I am not a pervert but i just don't know what goes on. I have heard a lot of bad stories and want to know if they are true or not. I trust my fiancé not to do anything but i would still be really upset if someone touched him even if he didn't reciprocate.

My parents are planning an engagement party for my new fiance and I? Should we register for gifts before this event or wait until the bridal shower? We are planning a long engagement, wedding is 2 years away.

When did this bridal shower thing get so big. I am talking about a bridal shower for the bride where they expect gifts off of their wedding registery... I undertstand the personal bridal shower with the fun gifts, but I am preparing for a friends wedding where she expects gifts from her wedding registery for her bridal shower and her wedding. I got gifts at my wedding...I had no other shower that I was registered somewhere for... Since when do we have to provide 2 gifts for the happy couple???

One of my friends, well I don't really hang out with her much, but I know her. She's getting married this Saturday. A couple of months ago, I noticed some of our friends chatting about getting invitations, and I began 2 wonder if I would be invited. A couple of weeks ago, she came up 2 me, and said " I wanted 2 tell u that u and your family are invited 2 the wedding, but I ran out of invitations. But your definetly invited." I don't know if she was saying that just to be nice, or if that was really an invitation to her wedding. A wedding shower was thrown 4 them, but I wasn't invited 2 that, so I didn't go. But I feel like since I didn't get her and her fiance' anything, and that I didn't get a real invitation, that I shouldn't go 2 the wedding. What do u think? A couple of my friends have told me that they already RSVPed 4 it, & they were going. She didn't tell me I had 2 RSVP, so I don't know if I still have 2, if i'm planning 2 go? I want 2 go, but I just don't know if i'm welcome?

Any nice, secluded place we could go? Plus...once we become "hubby and wifey," how long do you think we should stay out of the office (meaning "extend our honeymoon")? When should we get back to the office? She's the accounting dep. head, and I'm an accounting supervisor.
