First off, it's your choice whether or not you have bridesmaids and then however many you want. Essentially, bridesmaids are there to help you prepare for the big day. That doesn't just mean helping you with hair, makeup and getting dressed the day of although you could limit it to just that. They can help host a shower if the Maid of Honour needs help, they can help you assemble/make the guest favours if you are going to have those. They can help you find your shoes, undergarments, dress, veil, headpiece, etc. for the big day. They can help you assemble invitations too, which, depending on the size of your wedding, could be a lot. Basically, whatever you need help with, they're there to help you with it. When you choose your bridesmaids, if you are going to have them, make sure you choose people who are going to be there to help you when you need them.

Are you gettting married? Bridemaids are females that can be any numberes to 10- how every many you want in the wedding. They are your friends, sisters or the guy family. they are in the wedding to make a train for you and to walk down the ilse with the groomens. but don't have them looking better then you or the bride. All ladies have the same style dress.

They stand next to you and look cute at your wedding. They can also help you out with wedding related stuff. I had my maid of honor keep two of my junior attendants overnight the night before the wedding because their mom likes to "forget" about important things like that and disapear out of state. I wanted to know where they were. I had their older sisters with me, and I didn't want all four kids the night before my wedding. She also hosted my shower.
