My boyfriend is standing up in his sisters wedding. There aren't any cousins that are around my age, and I don't know any of her friends. Her and I are the same age, and we talk to each other when we see each other, but it's kind of formal and more like acquaintances than any kind of actual friendship. Where might I expect to be sitting at during the ceremony and the reception?

Well, i got engaged on christmas and have been looking at wedding dresses. i am being kinda picky about the style and look of my dress...i want white but i want color in it too. i have found several dresses that i really like. a friend of mine said i would look like i was going to prom if i dressed like that...any advice about what you would wear or have worn?

Ok, so I pretty much am already over budget with my flowers for everything else so I decided I need table centerpieces without many flowers. Keep in mind, I have kind of a tropical/beacy theme going on. So I found this pic online that I liked but I want to tweek a little: http://www.japaneseweddingfavors.com/images/centerpiece_lily.jpg

I want to make the little wooden boxes myself and put a pink candle in the middle. I wanted to fill the box with sand and maybe stick seashells around it? What do you guys think? Any other suggestion on what to put in the box that would fit my theme? Or do you think the box is stupid? lol.. Let me know, I am open to all suggestions...

I am getting married in August, but here's the deal. I have no close friends, so I have no idea what to do about the maid of honor. Should I ask one of his sisters? He has two so I don't want to offend the other one if I ask one certain sister. Or maybe his 14 year old daughter? He has a best man, but I have no idea on a maid of honor. HELP!!!

The wedding will most likely be May 18, 2008 in Blue Springs, MO. I need to find an affordable photographer and DJ. How much do these two generally cost. I'm not really looking for a "wedding" photographer because that generally makes the price go up, but I am looking for someone with some experience. I just need a better idea of how much I'll be spending on these. Oh and the DJ will need to be there for four hours (do you also have to pay for the time it takes to set up?). If you know of any good ones, then please leave their info. Thanks

Argh I'm super stressed. 7 weeks to go! Does anyone else find that weddings really is a girl thing? My man is fabulous... but I ask for his input, and he really doesn't care. Somehow I ended up being in charge of MAKING the invitations as he wouldn't help me pick any and I didn't like anything. To top it off, our roomate is a total slob, he moves out when we get married, but I don't think I can last that long without going postal on him. I spend more time cleaning than planning the wedding. I'm so stressed :-(

Ok my maid of honor has been my friend for over 10 years. Because we have been the best of friends for so long it was only natural to ask her to be my MOH. Well now she doesn't give me the time of day. She hasn't done ANYTHING for me. I have been doing EVERYTHING! How do I approach this? We are only 2 months away and the bridesmaides or MOH have the dresses. I let them choose the dress they wanted just as long as it is the color I want. That didn't even help soooo I now gave them the dress I WANT! HELP!

We're thinking of a wedding in the Caribbean, and would like to invite everyone to come, knowing most will not. We do plan to have a more traditional party at home a few months later. I don't know how to word the invitation to convey this. I want to say something about the Caribbean, and that we understand you may be unable to make the trip but we hope you can celebrate with us at home later...send 2 invites (1 wedding, 1 reception)? send a full invitation for the wedding & a reminder date before the reception? Just getting started, but I wanted to get website suggestions OTHER than David's Bridal (we have one here, and I can look in person).

Also - what would be a universally flattering shape for a dress? My bridesmaids range from 5'2" size 4 to 5'11" size 8 to 5'6" size 14...lots of variation. I would like for all of the dresses to be the same.
