Ok so my freind Alice is getting married and she noticed i have a real nack for party orginising so she put ME as her wedding planner. She has decided on the theme "winter wonderland" and it is in australia so it does NOT snow but it is really cold. We are heading out to a place called belgenny farm, http://www.belgennyfarm.com.au/weddings_and_functions.

We just took a look at it two days ago and we settled on it. Now we need to find a dress, is there any website u could reccomend that has winter wedding dress' and what colours should we use , i was thinking of a ivory, sage and icy blue but what do u think??? we also need to find some center peices

we dont want them to be cheap and shabby but we want them to be unique and interesting

remeber we r in australia so we dont celebrate christmas in winter

=)

I am literally marrying my best friend. I have no sisters, just three brothers. This is a more traditional wedding, so no boys as "man" of honor. My closest friend is a guy, and I have a friend that is really nice and totally helpful (who is a girl). I have three cousins that could be... one is my roommate, but I don't really feel that close to her even though we are friends, and I'm even less close to her sister (cousin #2). The third cousin is my closest cousin, but I never really talk to her much, just on family occassions and we enjoy each other's company then. I'm also close to my mom, but I want her to watch the ceremony rather than be in it, even though she's helping with plannining everything as well.

Is it permissable to just have a bunch of bridesmaids rather than one maid of honor and some bridesmaids? Or who/how should I pick my maid of honor?

He thought the paperwork was completed and come to find 2 1/2 yrs later - he's still married. Why did they let us apply for a marriage license to begin with if his divorce wasn't final? What happens now- would we get charged for medical fraud and tax fraud since we were never technically married? Could he get in trouble with the law? Him&I had probs before I discovered this and I uncovered this info during the research of my own divorce!

I need to know if this is a common practice. I don’t want to have my wedding in the church that I am a member of because of location, size and décor. I really need help I don’t know the first step in asking a preacher if I can rent their church and if they will perform my ceremony. Please help me so I can start planning. I would prefer to have a church wedding and church reception any suggestions? (I live in Kansas if anyone knows a church in this area)

I'm getting married in May 2008, my colours are brown and pink. Does anyone have suggestions for flower arrangements/bouquets?? I'm usually pretty artistic but when it comes to this I am at a loss. I wan't something simple, even if its white and pink (pink is only a accent). Suggestions for websites, flower types or photos would be greatly appreciated along with any personal experiences...

My fiance and I are currently located in Texas, but are looking to get married in Colorado. Our guest list is about 76 right now and probably won't be more than 80 people. We're looking for a place that will have a great view of snowy mountains hopefully, but isn't so huge that it's going to feel empty during the ceremony and reception. Maybe a lodge perhaps? Any suggestions?

p.s. we're also hoping to have the ceremony outside and the reception inside.

My fiance and I will be paying for our wedding on a tiny budget. It will be held in his Aunt's backyard (on a beach), because we cannot afford a venue. For our reception we would like to only have cake, punch, & nuts...no dancing, no real food. How do I let my guests know on the invitation (or otherwise) that it will be a "no big deal" wedding without looking cheap? I really need some help with this...

Also, any suggestions on mentioning both sets of parents on the invite as well as our son?

I really appriciate any advice! Thanks in advance!

I had heard that the ceremony and reception gets paid by the father of the bride, and the rehearsal dinner is the grooms family... I just got engaged and neither my parents or her parents have offered to pay for anything...

Is this something I should press or are we going to have to pay it all ourselves? I've never been married before, but my fiancee was married once before and she said her parents didn't pay anything then either.

If they all refuse to pay should we give them crappy seats or something?

I know that if you have been married before, you must get it annuled before marrying in a catholic church. I'm wondering... how does the church know if you've been married before? The reason is... my husband-to-be was married before, when he was very young, to a foreign girl. It was basically so she could get citizenship. It was a good friend of his and I am okay with this. Please don't judge.

The problem is, my family doesn't know about this previous incident of his, and they would be VERY upset if they knew. I am Catholic and want to get married in my church. My fiance says we just don't have to tell them. He says they're not the government or the mafia so they'll only know what we tell them. I know lying about this is not the best thing to do, but I'm slightly desperate. Is there any way for the church to find out about this previous marriage?

Or... how quiet and private is the annulment? Would my family ever find out? Any help is appreciated.

Ok...

Working on planning my Reherasal Dinner... I am wondering who HAS to be invited. I am not close with my Grandmother or my Aunts and Uncles for that matter. They are invited to the wedding but I have no idea if they will come or not.

So do I have to invite the extended family? Should Grandma come.

Also what exactaly happens at a Rehearsal Dinner?

Thanks

Where can you find a good man? In church alot of pretender on the streets to many freaks, at work not a good idea if you know what i mean. Strangers may ask you out you don't know who to trust, most of your male friends already married. Everyone said wait and the right guy will come along. STILL WAITING. Any advice biological clock ticking.

My new in laws are stuck in the past with my new hubbys X wife they dont seem to mind to go on and on about what they bought the X for their wedding and seem to think i should sit about talking about her I am not jealous as i have an X too and they are X's for reason my family never mentions mine as they find it disrespectful but my new ones do.MY hubbys X ran around while they were married got herself pregnant .They have been divorced for almost 10 years she still hangs around and she is married but the new in laws say she is part of their happy past.If she was so much of a happy memory why is my hubby not married to her? how do i deal with this as i have told them to stop .My hubby wont visit as this too is upsetting to him but they just dont get it.
