My fiance and I are currently located in Texas, but are looking to get married in Colorado. Our guest list is about 76 right now and probably won't be more than 80 people. We're looking for a place that will have a great view of snowy mountains hopefully, but isn't so huge that it's going to feel empty during the ceremony and reception. Maybe a lodge perhaps? Any suggestions?

p.s. we're also hoping to have the ceremony outside and the reception inside.

I sure do! I live here and just got married....but from what you just described, the Wild Basin Lodge in Allenspark would be perfect for you!!! Also, try the Crystal Rose in highlands ranch, Robins Nest on lookout mountain.....I'm sure there are more, but thats all I can think of for now...

Check out Wedding Sites and Services. There are many many beautiful places to be married in Colorado (in the mountains and not). If you want a view of the snow mountains, sometimes the best view if from Denver or the foothills, rather than in the mountains themselves (there you might just get a view of a side of a mountain).

Colorado is the perfect spot to hold a wedding. In the summer, there's nothing better than getting married in a gazebo or garden, surrounded by the state's majestic mountains and clear blue skies. Winter wedding enthusiasts can opt to hold their ceremony in one of Colorado's historic mountain chapels or churches, while snowflakes drift past the window. In the fall, crunch through piles of colorful aspen leaves on the way to the altar, or take in blossoming columbines in the spring.
