I just bought my loose stone and designed the setting myself in August. I can tell you that pink diamonds are quite rare, and costly. I don't know the exact price, and only a diamond dealer or gemologist can tell you that accurately. It really depends on the quality of the 4 c's. There are usually 1.5 times the cost of your colourless diamonds. Try bluenile.com or pinkdiamonds.co.uk
My educated guess is $12,500 - $16,000, depending on clarity
Good luck!!

Pink diamonds are the rarest and most expensive kinds of diamonds and can be hard to find. If you want a pink sapphire they are a lot cheaper!!!
I found a half carat pink diamond and it was listed for about 25 grand!! Most 1 carat rings will go in excess of $30,000.
Here are some sites I found:

All diamonds are very old, that's why they are diamonds and not a lump of carbon. I'd say someone is pulling your leg and been watching too many Inspector Closeau movies.

Not sure about pink, but this jeweler has medium quality, medium clarity 1ct white diamonds as low as $4,425.
http://www.shaneco.com/diamonds/dsearch_results.aspx?ProductID=&PageLevelID=&byo=&fromPage=&size=
This place in the UK says they have near-1ct pinks of medium-low clarity for as low as 3800 GBP (about $7,3000 USD).
