I'm having bridesmaid trouble...I'm obviously having my two younger sisters but I can only afford three which is where the problem is: my boyfriend has a sister and i'm very close to my cousin - more of a love/hate relationship but I do worry that she'll constantly be critiscising my choice of colours/dresses etc. We grew up together and are the same age - but I don't want to leave out my boyfriends sister, as a bridesmaid. Ideally, I'd have all of them but I can't afford it.

What do I do??! Both of them have great crafting skills and an eye for detail so could I ask one of them to be my bridesmaid and the other to help out with the designing of the church decor etc??

The last wedding I went to had many bad incidents involving children.

1)Infants were crying at various points during the ceremony.
2)Toddlers were talking and shrieking during the ceremony.
3)A 7-year-old was throwing a tantrum in the back.
4)During the reception two kids started running around the dance floor and bumping into people.

I don't like like a lot of people looking at me, I would feel so self-conscious!

I'm terrified of having to make lots of decisions.
A wedding planner would be great but I don't have money for that.

I am running way behind... I think. Still gotta lose the weight, pick the date, locale, everything for the wedding a reception.

Wedding planner sounds nice, but I am not trying to spend a ton of money. Have you had experiences with them? How much did you pay?

We have 3 small children so our wedding is on a budget of $2000. We both have big families and many friends who will be hurt if we don't invite them. We don't care if we have a big wedding with all the trimmings and bells, but we need help on how to plan one for under $2000. We live in lancaster, pennsylvania if that helps anyone.

We are thinking about basically eloping in hawaii while on an all expense paid vacation with my fiances company.. The only thing is i am not sure if i want to get married w/o my family there. Even though i plan on having a church wedding later anyways. It would cost us 5,000 dollars this includes round trip flight and hotel for the days we are there for 4 adults and one child to come. We are not paying for anything so would it be crazy for us to try to pay 5,000 dollars for our family just parents and daughter to be there???? I am torn.. Jeff kinda just wants it to be us. I really feel like i would want my family there.. What should i do??

My fiancee and I will be getting married Winter of next year. I am struggling to find sme colors that are just right for the both of us and my bridesmaides. He like colors like red, dark blue, and black(dark colors), me on the other hand like bright lively colors(pastels light blue, lavender, pinks, silvers and golds), the total opposite of his colors. He dont want to help me with the wedding which I knew he wasnt but I at least want him to help me with the colors.
What colors do you suggest will be something that will fit good with the both of us?

We are getting married this saturday, and I need to know--how much do you 'gift' the preacher?

He said it wasn't necessary, but if I wanted to give him a gift, I could. How much do I give him? The janitor is getting $75, the organist is getting $125. (These are pre-set rates, the rates that they normally charge.)

My cousin and I have basically grown up together and are best friends. I have always thought of her as another sister. She recently said that when she gets married she would want only her two sisters as bridesmaids and not me because i am not her sister. I feel so hurt. She has always told me she confides in me more than in her sisters and loves me as much or more. I would have thought that I would be her bridesmaid as well as her sisters. I would never exclude her like this. She is in a long-term relationship which is probably about to go to the next level and I find myself dreading the day that she announces they are going to marry, because I am going to be so hurt when she excludes me from it. Am i right to feel hurt or am i over-reacting?

My best friend has asked me to be maid of honour in her wedding and I have no idea what the responsibilities include. I'm assuming I'll have to plan a shower and help her with everything. HELP! I'm totally in the dark and I have no idea where to start.

I asked my friend to be the maid of honor in my wedding. I'm getting married April 6, 2007. My friend lives in California and I live in Michigan. We always said to each other that if one or the other gets married we would be at each others wedding. I've known my friend for 14 years. We went to college together we've been there for each other for happy and sad times, that is why I asked her. When I did ask she seemed less than enthusiastic, I thought she was having a bad day maybe, but she agreed. That was about 8 months ago. She has not mentioned anything about the wedding since then. I've sent her emails of pictures of bridesmaid dresses asking her opinion she never responds. When I do talk to her on the phone she nevers asks anything. I not the type of person to be a bridezilla, I'm not bombarding her with wedding details. I'm really not asking anything, only for her to show up and be in the wedding. I don't know what to do, should I ask her not to be in the wedding?

I am planning a wedding for June. This is my second wedding but my first in my heart. I want the wedding/reception of my dreams......but on a budget. I'm going to have floating candles that I can purchase from ebay for little of nothing. But what else? I want something on the plain white walls. I was even thinking about having a fog machine for when I walk down the aisle and for when my husband and I enter the reception area. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

We are having a huge wedding. The cost will pretty much leave us nothing for a honeymoon. I think that it is still important that we get away after the wedding. I would really like some fun and inexpensive ideas. We live in Michigan.
