I am planning a wedding for June. This is my second wedding but my first in my heart. I want the wedding/reception of my dreams......but on a budget. I'm going to have floating candles that I can purchase from ebay for little of nothing. But what else? I want something on the plain white walls. I was even thinking about having a fog machine for when I walk down the aisle and for when my husband and I enter the reception area. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

Tulling (tooling) and icicle lights (like Christmas lights, get them after Christmas when they are on clearance) looked beautiful at my reception... of course, my aunt set it up so hopefully you are or can find a creative person. A bubble machine up high spreading bubbles would look cute and someone you know probably has one... however, don't have it blowing over the dance floor if they are reaching the floor because the floor will get SLICK and people will fall!! The fog would be great too!!! Good luck!

i like the idea of candles and lights they can go a long way on a budget for decor. I think all the answerers have given you great ideas the only thing i can suggest is have you considered having your wedding on a sunday ? you can save some major money on everything from limo rental to reception hall even florals. It can help put more money into other details that you like. Ceiling swags are also a nice touch and add a nice ambiance as well perhaps on the pricey side though. Silk florals are much more reasonable than real and you can buy them way ahead of time and arrange them yourself (get a video at the library martha stewart has one) good luck!

Go to theknot.com for ideas and prices, it is a helpful site. Ebay is good too but many times you can get cheap prices at your local downtown area, for me it is downtown L.A.

Also check out Oriental Trading Company online, they have a lot of party supplies for cheap and a wedding section. As for the fog machine, make sure it doesnt stain your dress. You can check your local rental place too.

For a fairytale wedding, check out disnayland's wedding packages, they are pricey but you can always "borrow" ideas.

Good luck!

Pianist is a buddy of the loved ones. We booked a reception corridor for best $one hundred fifty (involves blank up), and they don't require you to have a distinct caterer. To store much more cash, peers of the loved ones are doing meals. We're simply having useful sandwiches and salads. Instead of floral centerpieces I'm doing candles with rose petals. The bridal events plants are bought from Kroger, a grocery retailer with a floral division, and I stored more often than not forty-50%. DIY invites DIY methods Cupcake tower, $eight/dozen or $zero.sixty six/serving in comparison to $one million.seventy five a slice for cake. The cupcakes are higher than the slice of cake, too. Our baker additionally threw in a unfastened 6" anniversary layer.

get companies in your town to sponsor your wedding. I saw someone on tv do this. Make an ad section in your program and tell them (depending on how much they donate) that you will give them an ad in your program for you wedding. Then every one will see where your flowers and things came from. Being a graphic designer I think this is awsome and when I get married this is what I'm going to do.

If there are any trees or tall plants in the room (or can borrow some and bring them in), you can add white Christmas lights to them.
