I will hopefully be engaged within the next two or so months, and i would like to get started on wedding planning. From your experience, what is the first thing I should tackle? I am going to have a Roman Catholic wedding and it will most likely be in my homestate, colorado

My boyfriend and I are invited to his co-worker's (the groom) wedding. We will go to both the ceremony and the reception at a golf club. We're given a registry, and the price of the items are ranged from $5 to $99.

How much value should our gift be? $100 for 2 persons?

*my bf knows the groom for a year; i've never met him.

My older brother is getting married and I am afraid that he will forget about me. I like the girl he is marrying but he is my brother and i don't want him to forget about me. He has been so cought up in wedding plans that he forgot about my birthday... he didn't compleaty forget.. but he didn't throw me a party like he has done scince i was 5. Help me!

I'm getting married in 3 weeks and now I seem to feel disgusted by some of my fiances "defects" (you know, loud chewer, loud breather, selfishness...etc) Is it normal?? Is my subconciousness trying to tell me something? Am I just getting paranoid about marriage? :-(

I am so disappointed! For our anniversary he wanted to get me the box set of Family Guy! I want an engagement ring. We have been talking about marriage for so long now I thought that was what his surprise was going to be. I dont want to force him into marrying me, but I am also getting tired of waiting. So here is the story:

My fiancees parents told us that they are paying for the reception in whole because they know him and I cannot afford it all by ourselves. My parents will pitch in NOTHING, not a penny. My fiancee and I keep fighting because even though they are not helping us out I still want to get them a gift...I don't want them to feel left out. He doesn't agree, he says they should ge NO say and No gift in our wedding. How do I make him see that they are my parwents and I still need to love and respect him. Am I wrong??

One of my bridesmaids is being difficult. I told the girls to wear clear shoes with their dress and she said no that she's getting shoes to dye to color of the dress and that clear shoes would look tacky... she just keeps refusing to do things that I ask her to do. It's not like I'm requesting anything crazy... just a few things. She's also refusing to use her bouquet as a table centerpiece and she refuses for the hairstylist that I picked to do her hair.
