I am having a church wedding next month only because all my sisters went to the Justice of Peace and I would like to see my father walk one of his daughters down the isle. So I guess I will be the one. If I could do it all over I might have decided to just elope. It has been very stressful and expensive. I hope it is worth the stress in the end!

NO we area having ceremony and reception outside in the hillcountry at a B&B.

there is nothing wrong woth a church wedding though. It all depends on that you want for your wedding. Dont worry about what others want for you, do what both of you love and how you will remember it...

At first we looked at it, but it was $500 for just the ceremony. Our location cost much more than that (nearly 6 times as much!) and it wasn't worth it.

God is going to be with us regardless of whether we're married in a church or a secular site. God doesn't just stay in a church.

Our wedding was in a church. March weather in the Midwest was too big of a what if for us.

It is all up to for what you want.

Yes, you should. Others marry first by civil rites then church. That would be a double expense and waste of time and effort.

Church wedding is everything and doubly Blessed - by GOD. Go for it.

No, we're having a non-denominational ceremony in a gazebo outdoors. Neither of us is a devil-worshipper or anything, but neither of us is particularly religious, either plus we wanted to avoid the premarital counseling since we already live together which is sometimes frowned upon.
