I am not sure if the wedding I am planning is formal, semi formal or ?? We am going to be holding the ceremony outside at a beautiful location, our wedding is going to be pretty large.

How does this wedding sound, what is the level or formality, and do you have any suggestions, especially for the repection?

I am getting married in February and we are having an outdoor ceremony. Originally it was going to be at 5pm but now we are 2nd guessing that decision because it's a Saturday evening affair and we ddn't want the night to end at 10pm. We also want to enjoy the cocktail hour and do pictures before hand but starting photos at 3pm is too early. Just wondering if it would be "weird" to have a night-time ceremony lit up by only candles, lights directed on the gazebo and paper lanterns hanging from the trees. Our photographer uses lenses that will be fine in that light but I just want to make sure that our guests don't find it odd.

I am going to have big band and swing music at my wedding reception. My fiance and I love this type of music. I'm just worried people won't dance to it. There are no professional dancers in our families. =) And I don't want all of those silly wedding songs played, Sinatra is really the only way to go for us. Do you think this will be an issue?

Does this mean that I don't like him or that I'm not wanting to get married? Aren't you supposed to feel excited to plan a wedding? All I feel is dread. Like I'm closing a book on my life. That once I tie the knot that's it for me and my dreams. Is this something everyone goes through? Or am I crazy for letting others tell me how I'm supposed to feel?

I have been with my fiancee for seven years total. We are supposed to be married in a couple of months. While she is a good woman who has been with me through up and down, I am afraid of getting married. Early in our relationship she had some problems dealing with people in her past her were bad to her. I helped her work through it but a lot was taken out on me. I never left her because I saw the good. We are doing fine but some of the early spark for me in the relationship left after only a few months. While she is my best friend and I love her and I do not want to hurt her, I am afraid of getting married and feel a lack of a spark towards her. I like being around her but am not extacticly happy most of the time. I never dated much prior to her and do not know if this is something that you normally feel after several years or if this is a major problem. I am usually a romantic but just do not feel that way toward her. She is gung ho on the wedding but I am hesistant. Help.

I have been reading everyones responses to bridemaids questions in regards to etiquette, buying presents and things like that. There is a concern from many who is responsible for what and costs incurred by the bridesmaids. I want my wedding to be accessible to everyone in my wedding party and I dont want them to have to spend a ton on themselves just for me.

Has anyone done anything different for their bridesmaids? I dont want them to go pick out an expensive dress they may only wear once, but i also dont want it to be tacky. Anything to help ease the costs from my bridesmaids WITHOUT spending tons of money myself? thanks!

the marraige style, and that is never daiting, and fixed marraige between the groom and the brides perants, the bride sees the groom then talks to him for few days at her home or engaged for few mounths tell she decides, then tell her perants her answer wich is yes or no to marry him, and if its yes there well be 5 celebrations:
1- to ask for her hand infront of her family and his family(the closest members),
2- to make a party mostly for the relatives of the bride and a little of grooms close relatives.2-3 hours
3-a partty called"henna"wich is for speciall cultural people.
4-the big day, the huge weddding party and the candels and the mens speciall dance and the wedding stays 3-4 hours .
5-a small party after wedding were the relatives of the bride gives the bride money as a gift.
and ya i forgut about the mens party wich happens at night out side drinking only coffeand doing speciall dancing, and cutting the grooms hair as a new life beggining
i saw all 6 of the,beautiful,nice

The best man's wife works for continental and has the 'hookup' on free international flights...

We wanna take about a 3 day trip (leaving thurs nite, fri, sat, and coming back sun morn) and don't wanna go TOO far to where we'll be in the air most of the trip.

Since we're flying outta Texas the top choices are Rio, and Puerto Rico, Maybe Canada...

Help me out fellas... what are some of the good international destinations for this kinda thing?? And what's good about em?

Thanks!

El
