We have know each other for almost 2 years and even went thru our pregnancies together. Her son is 11 days older than my daughter. Her wedding will be Santa Fe, NM during spring break thats 7 months away. She said it will be a small ceromony because she knows not very people would be able to make it up there. If I knew that I was invited I would start saving now and try and make it. I would even spend the night with her while he was out doing field traings for a week.

But should I feel left out if she dont invite me.

I got engaged two years ago as soon as i passed out from college and am getting married in Jan-07.I love my man but the fact that i will have to live with my in-laws and will be showered with lots of responsibilities like cooking, gardening and taking care of them and the big house is scaring me.I always wanted to be a free person with a good career.I live in a small town where career opportunities are less and my to be husband does not want to leave his parents house for a better life.I tried talking to him but it really did not help much.I don't want to hurt him at the same time don't want to sacrifice my career. What do i do???

Hello,

Our wedding will be in the UK and a non-religious registry office marriage. We're keen to keep it as traditional as possible, which I guess means that we'd like it to be as similar to a church wedding as possible.

Should a bridesmaid or the groom lift the bride's veil? And at what point? Should it be as the bride arrives at the front and takes her place next to the groom, or should it be after being pronounced man and wife and immediately before the bride and groom kiss?

I've never been to a wedding....

Many thanks in advance and wish us luck!!!

last night was my first bachlorette party as a male dancer. my buddy from high school got me a job as a stripper with the outfit he works at. to make a long story short, four of us were hired for a bachlorette party. the girls were all young. ended up the bride to be started giving me a blow....., while all her friends cheered. her friends didnt care. then she did all four of us guys in turn (blow...) from 2 am until 3 am i guess, she had us run a train on her. her friends never touched us--just the bride to be did all this. i think i should quit the job, i dunno. will this be happening all the time? i like the money i make and that i can do this for a living, but somehow i feel bad inside. i am booked for 5 more bachlorette parties this month, will this happen each time? should i think its just the job and live with it?

Does the engagement ring stay on your finger when the wedding ring is put on? Or do you leave the engagement ring off?

So I was asked to be a backup bridesmaid for a friend. I accepted after asking if the wedding was in town because I don't have a car. Now I am in use, and just found out that I cannot afford the dress she picked out. Plus the place to be fitted for it is over 2 hours away! How can I back out without starting a fued?

Seems like I am posting alot but everyone keeps helping me! We are having a outdoor wedding and I read on www.ourmarriage.com a good idea that I wanted to go with before but thought it would be tacky. It is You go ahead and set up your tables and have guest go ahead and set there. and have your aisle down the center of the tables. my question is where would you put the bridal party table?? I was thinking at the end of the Aisle..and when we walk out we could just take our place at the table....any other ideas..and my second question is.. (another idea) We are going to have balloon bouqets with a weight on the table with a marker for people to write a wish for my husband and I..and the balloons will be released when we leave..would it be tacky if we placed the balloon bouqets in a fish bowl with water and placed a gold fish or maybe two in each bowl with rose petals floating on top and let one person take home the fish and bowl at the end of the night???

I always cry, no matter if I know the couple or not. I don't know...maybe it's because I see how perfect all of their hopes and dreams for a wonderful life ahead, are at that moment. It is something so rare and so beautiful to behold that it brings me to tears.

Heres the thing we wanted to go to Jamaica but our wedding budget has become strained. We are thinking about the northeastern part of the U.S. I am willing to go in any direction up to 300 miles. I live in central ny. We just don't have aclue. I have done research on Cape Cod, Nantucket, Salem Ma. It all seems rather expensive. We can only now spend like 1000.00 for 4-5 days. I just want a small cabin by the lake feel. I need help. Can anyone help? PLEASE :). In that we need to include food gas and 1 or two special touristy type activities. I only have a month to plan
