I am thinking maybe you shouldnt give her money. While money is a great thing, you should really look into savings bonds, or CD's. That money does grow over time and can help them with future expenses.
If you want to give her cash, typically one gives between 50-100 dollars, around the same amount a wedding gift should cost. If you want to do more than that, I say offer to pay for something at her wedding, like the flowers, cake or anything else. A wedding can be expensive and any little bit of outside help to pay for it is always welcomed by the bride and groom to be.
Congratulations on your neices upcoming wedding!

Why not send her something off her registry instead? It will save her a trip to the store and is a little more thoughtful.
However, if she specifically wants cash or that's the most convenient for you, then $100 is the base amount. If you can afford more, then you should give more. Good luck with your decision! : )

Give whatever you're comfortable with. $50-100 is pretty standard. But if you can't afford that much, then give less. Another good option is to buy her a savings bond that grows in value over time. That way, you can invest less now, but she'll get more later!

How close are the two of you? How much can you REASONABLY afford?
If you're terribly close but you are not well off, then get a nice card and give what you can reasonably afford.
If you are not close, but are doing ok financially, I would say not more than $50.

Depends - how much money you got? If you're a rich uncle, we got $200 from our rich aunt & uncle. If you're a poor uncle, I wouldn't go less than $50. If you're sugar daddy uncle, give her a cool 5 grand!

I think $100 is suitable if it is a formal catered affair, or more if you can afford. $50 if its a rather informal reception.
