We used mini chinese take out boxes (they were 10 cents a piece!) and filled little clear bags tied with ribbon with jelly bellies in our wedding colors to put in the boxes. We printed out little labels with our names and wedding date and our theme (a peacock feather) to put on them and they were a hit!

Congrats on your upcoming wedding. You must be getting excited.
Use something that reflects your wedding and who you are. We are having an iris bulb (the flower we are using in the wedding and my future husband's favorite) in a pretty box with a note that thanks them for coming. We are getting them wholesale and they will cost less than a dollar a piece including a gift box with wrapping paper and ribbon. Some other things that we looked at were:
- bottles of wine (too expensive)
- chocolate covered strawberries
- chocolate covered coffeespoons (a really easy DIY. Dip a colored plastic spoon in melted chocolate and dunk it a few times to get a think coat. Then let cool on wax paper. Drizzle with another color of cholocolate (you can use colored chocolate waffers found in the bulk section). Then wrap in heavy celophane and tie with a pretty ribbon).
- candles
- picture frames that fit the picture that will be on your thank you note.
Good Luck!

Make it something that can either be used, like a votive or something that can be consumed like candy.
Most people think it's cute but they don't want little knick-knack things they don't know what to do with after the wedding. CD"s are popular but people's tastes in music vary so Grandma may not enjoy what you've chosen.
And lately there has been a real big stink over copyrights. I don't think the cops will swoop down & arrest you for your wedding favors.....but you might want to rethink this one.

I loved the favours for my wedding, and it was inexpensive and elegant. We took two Hershey kisses, and used double stick tape, and taped the two flat ends together, forming a rose bud shape. We then put transparent pink fabric around the hershey kisses, attached rose leaves and a made a fake stem using green florist tape and a thick wire. we tied a ribbon around the stem with our wedding date and names. They were really cute, and we placed them at the top of the dinner plates, and we had rose pedals sprinkled on all the tables.

Something they can eat at the reception (candy, most likely). Odds are, if it's something they will have to take home a lot of people will forget them, or lose them, etc. Plus you have to remember that these have to be a unisex favor. Nothing too girly or frilly since you want the men to use/take them.
As for a suggestion, you can get personalized M&M's now with a message imprinted on them.
Or you could put a truffel in a small favor box.

My husband and I made up music CD's from our ceremony. They are mostly classical songs played on hammered dulcimer and classical guitar. We hired a group to perform who had a CD out, and for a fee bought permission to use their songs. We even printed our names and picture on CD labels and put them on there. Since the music is instrumental, it's great to listen to in the car, while you're working on something, etc. It's a great way for our families to remember our wedding. Some people like to do CD's of their favorite love songs, but I'm not sure about the legal side of this. We also gave out Jordan almonds at the rehearsal dinner. My husband's name is Jordan too--ha!

What time of the year are you getting married? Do you have a wedding theme? If so, that will be easy to pick out your favors. My wedding theme was wedding bells, so I used miniture wedding bells with a card/ribbon attached to it with a saying on the card. My napkins were white with silver wedding bells on them and my mints were in a white wrapper with silver weddingbells on them. I also had hershey kisses on wreapped in tulle on a clear spoon.

I had bubbles at mine. The pics were amazing.
Night wedding you could have sparklers...I've seen that in pics...it's neat.
Candy bar with your pics on them. Bells with a verse on them.
Little boxes (clear ones the size of an egg but shaped like a box) and fill them with m & ms the color of your wedding. THOSE ARE SO CUTE!
(That's all I can think of!)

Well it all depends if you want to buy or create them yourself. What you can do is purchase small white or ivory boxes (wholesale), silk mini roses (color of your wedding), purchase a hot glue gun, and chocolate covered almonds. They look curious, but if you'd like to make it look more elegant purchase mini gold/silver flowers. But another idea would be to buy "Personalized Tux and Gown Favor Boxes" and candy. Some websites have them for $0.97 for the pair. Best of luck to you!!

I had some plastic test tubes printed up with our names and the wedding date. Then filled them with different bath salts..was very resonably priced...100 test tubes printed was about $30 and the bath salts you can find on the web for about $6 for 5lbs. The test tubes I bought on line also.
