Im looking to have a small beach wedding in michigan. with a nice place to dine and have drinks near by. please dont say light house point I love the location but my sister recently got married there. thanks

Well there is Muskegon! If you want to get married on the beach, you can go to Kruse Park or if you want a gorgeous wedding you can get married on the bridge at Heritage Landing where the Summer Celebration is held. It's right next to the lake but no beach. That would be very romantic, and plenty of space to have the reception. I was considering the bridge for my own wedding but decided to use a chruch.

Mackinac Island - it's about a 4 hr. drive from Detroit and it's spectacular. I went to a wedding there four years ago - it was right outside of Mission Pointe resort in a beautiful gazebo off the lake. The bride arrived in a white horse and carriage. The reception was at Mission Pointe. Simply lovely!!

There are many small towns u can find along lake michigan, use ur computer to find a few and see what is available. Personally I like Petosky, the beaches are beautiful and there is a wide variety of entertainment.

sturgeon bay on lake MI in mackinaw then meet at Audie's for reception I performed at a wedding there very beautiful sunset wedding or at the water fall in petoskey not on the beach bu at the water front and there is a myriad of reception ideas in petoskey cross village offers a great beach area as well and has legs inn right there for the reception get ahold of me at freckledphysh@yaoo.com if you have ne Q's you can also charter a ferry and have the ceremony on the lake then have them dock mack. cheb.or petoskey or even the island that is pricy but amazing

It's not quite beach front, but the Old Mission Peninsula is gorgeous, and very close to Grand Traverse Bay.

Go to your state's website and see what they have listed! Also, I don;t think there is anything wrong getting married the same place as your sister.
