I don't see why she can't wear it. If she still ikes it and it still fits, then why not? Dresses are expensive!

The same thing happened to my brother's wife. She called off the previous wedding because her then-fiance cheated on her. They didn't have a lot of the planning done when she called it off but she did already have her wedding dress bought. When she met my brother and they got married a few years later she used the same dress. It wasn't a big deal to any of us. It's not like the dress was already used at the first wedding. It's a dress she loved so why should she have to buy a new one! I say she can wear the same dress if it is one that she is really in love with!

My neice wore hers. It was a beautiful dress and she had paid major bucks for it. She asked her fiance, and he had no problem with it. I think your sister should ask her groom, if it would bother him. If it doesn't why not. There will be people who thinks she's horrible, but if the bride and groom have no problem with it, why does it matter, it just a dress. I mean now if the ex had the dress specially made for their wedding, then maybe I wouldn't wear it. But if she feels beautiful in it, and she still loves the style, then go for it. It's kind of approiate in a way, she proably had this guy in mind when she picking out the dress in the first place. I just so glad that she didn't go threw with the wedding. She saved everyone involved a lot of heartache. So, if they are comfortable with it, when....tell her to wear the dress, and have the most happiest of days.....Good luck to all of you, and she's lucky to have such a concerned sister.and sticking by her!
God bless us all.................

Sure, ask the man she's marrying. Chances are, if he has a Y chromosome he'll be more concerned with how easily he can get her out of it than anything else. My daughter-in-law wore the dress from her first wedding and used the money she saved for three extra days on their honeymoon.

definitely buy a new one! Old one has all the bad memories and it's consider bad luck to wear an old wedding dress for a new wedding to another guy! It's also cursed! get rid of it!

Well, if your sister duznt have issue with it, wear the dress! She paid for it she might as well use it. If it is causing some grief, change the dress a little by adding or taking something from the dress. Change the veil, or train, if there is one, put a sash on it, theres lots of stuff you can do, or wear it as it is. Experiment!

She should wear the dress she bought. There was a reason in the first place why this dress was special to her and was meant to be worn on her wedding day.

I don't think it would be that bad. Some people wear their mother's dress which has been saved for decades. She could have been saving the dress because she loved it--totally separate from her old boyfriend. But RINGS must be new!

I would wear the same dress. She bought the dress because she liked how she looked in it, not because he liked it!

She shouldn't be required to buy a new one. If she has her heart set on this dress, then wear it! No one is going to accuse her or be offended.

Also, it will save on the budget. What would she do with it if she didn't wear it?!
