Marriage & Divorce - 8 December 2007

I'm thinking like...Why am i with this girl... I throw my dignity away just to live with her under the same roof who her legal husband is as well.

I'm not in the position i want. or i think i should want. Argh just confused. I'm extremely uncomfortable sleeping with her especially when her legal husband is around. I keep asking her to get a divorce because we are together. At least a divorce would put in me a right place just to be together with her.

She and her husband are seperated. He does what he wants with his own life, she does what she wants with hers. But they still communicates with each other because they have a kid together.

Right now, i'm pressuring her to get a divorce. but she wants to wait till her house sells? is that even good actually?

I've moved my family half way around the US to be in a good job to support our family. I have a good job that pays well and the time to spend with my two beautiful daughters and wife. My wife only works part time but I make sure all the housework is done so she doesn't get stressed out. She spends money like there's no tomorrow and i'm not allowed to spend any because she says that she needs it for bills. She tell's me when we're fighting that she doesn't love me anymore and that she wants to leave me. I have been going through this for 11 years and it never seems to change. I try to keep it together because I don't want to lose my girls. Am I hanging on too long?

nor is there any visitation mentioned. Does this mean that the time is split evenly? Lately my ex has been taking extended vacations and leaving the kids with me and if it is joint shared custody, does this mean I should be compensated for the time away? Just curious. Thanks!

how is the scene inside a court when a case of domestic violence/498A is going on?how many minutes or hours does 1 proceeding last?how many days it takes to finalize the case?is there lots of crying,fighting & shouting by defendents?are there many people/crowd inside?are only immediate family members allowed or even the relatives,etc of both husband or wife even if they were not involved in domestic violence towards the woman?in short,how is the scene otherwise?is it very traumatic for the girl if she is the victim?

I cheated on my first husband 11 years ago but not sexual but it is still cheating in God's eyes. That's not ruined my marriage. I left him due to major control issues. But I would never do it again. The guilt is horrible.

I've been w/ my boyfriend for almost 2 years, but the past 4 months have been really bad. We're both in college, both 20 years old, and are studying abroad together next semester. It's gotten to the point where all we do is hang out with each other, and where I'm very doubtful, constantly questioning him, and not feeling loved. Sometimes I feel like he doesn't WANT to hang out with me, and he doesn't love me as much as he used to, and I tell him that. We got in a fight about how I need to change and I nit pick too much, and then I said if Im that terrible why dont you dump me? So he did. He said that he does love me, and he always will, but right now he's not happy, and I'm not either so he did that for the better. Well by the end of the night we were back together again. The next day it was like nothing had even happened we went to the mall and had a good time. I can tell I don't make him as happy as I used to. Suggestions on what I should do?

It's a relative, mother about 1000 miles away. Haven't seen them in 5 years. I have a couple real reasons which I do not want to use because it would hurt her (cost, they are under the influence of a nasty half sibling who I havent beat up since I was 15 and he an Army Ranger), emotionally and due to her health even physically. I'm just not used to lying and need one this time. Please serious answers only. I really need an excuse and a real answer to this. Kind of like the Smothers Brothers, she loves him more because he is a convicted felon, twice Dishonorably Discharged from the military (3rd time a General) while I am just a retired metrologist, volunteer at the VA, reserve sheriff officer and volunteer jr college teacher. Call it she always rewarded bad behaviour. And I was kicked out by her husband at age 10 to fend for myself, so no real love. Though I have tried over the years hoping for change. The half brother had a home till 19. Just not possible for me to visit.

I met him when I was seperated from my husband and was just getting to know him. I fell inlove with him but I still got back with my husband for my daughter and because I didn't know how he felt for me. He broke it off a year ago this month, yet we see eachother atleast every other month for either one or two nights together. I don't know what his life is like, does he have a girlfriend, is he married too? but I can't seem to just be happy with my husband. Ok, long story and I'll try to keep it short. Brandy was the girl I always had feelings for, but we where always dating other people. We finally got together 3 1/2 years ago and got engaged last december. Things had been great save for some arguements. The past month she has seemed off and a week ago told me she loves me and wants to get married and have kids with me, but is not ready. She wants to stay in our house through the summer and then move to LA for a few months. She said she just isn't happy with herself and needs to find out why and try to do things on her own because she never has.Needs to find herself. She insists she loves me and once she comes back she wants to continue the wedding, have kids, and everything we planned. I'm totally crushed by this. I can't even begin to figure out what to do. Her friends and family told her she's insane. She insisted on keeping the ring around her neck so when she comes back I can put it back on her finger and get on with our life. Help?

I have been married for over 15 years and for the past 5 years or so fill my wife has lost most of the attraction towards me. She never complements me regarding looks or how i dress or anything. She very seldom ineciates love making and when and if she does it seems like she just is doing it to fill a obligation or duty. This is a follow-up question. My husband met a woman on a business trip she lives about 2 hours from us. However he asked how far she lives from an amusement park. When I confronted him about the conversations he became very irrate. He accused me of being overly jealous. I found out he went dancing with a group of co-workers on the business trip & danced with her. He assured me they've only spoken on the phone 3 times & he stated I can check his phone whenever but I noticed the call log has been erased. Should I ask for a detailed bill from the phone company & confront him about it. He leaves on another business trip in Jan. I said I would go & he got upset! He said he's not a 2 yr old. He offered for me to meet her. I have never been jealous. I just find his attitude suspicous especially since he never mentioned her until I started asking. So since I can't go on the trip should I request a detailed bill from the phone co. & confront him if I find anything?

I am a prospective attorney with a starting salary of $80,000 and possibly more.
I've worked incredibly hard to get where I am, but I did have help. I come from a good family that put me through a private high school and top college and law school.
I do care very highly for a man's character and health, but I honestly don't think I'd be able to marry a man with lesser status. I want my kids to have the same advantages that I had and more.
I'm moderately attractive but really kind and bright and dress well. So I guess it over powers my 7/10 or 6/10 status.

Does anyone agree or disagree with me? Am I now all of a sudden a "gold-digging witch?"
