What becomes of broken heart it gets repaired so get over it. listen let this jerk go and find someone who will respect you and care for you and love you the way you need to be loved. He has already decided between you two he is gonna stay with his wife and still milk the cow if he can. Everyone loses and get hurt in an affair. Kid yourself all you want...deep down you hate yourself and are hated. Your life is curse and bad karma is already on top of you. Have fun with that : )
ps. his home is broken yes - and so it will be for a long time. Even if you end up together you two will have the carryover - the fallout....it will be broken too. Get far away and clear your head. What seems to look good in your head is so far from reality you can't see it....

Maybe he loves his wife more. It's not just about looks and cleaning house. Maybe that's where you fell off the boat. It's not scientific. People have feelings, his wife has feelings, that's what's keeping him around. He knows she's a better woman than you, but he's too big of a horny sleezebag to stop banging you. You just put a little excitement in his otherwise drab life. That's it.

You're better than his wife how??? She's "fat" because she sacrificed her body for him...she bore his children and provides their care and is committed to him.
And, you thinking he loves you is just short of a joke. Think about it: He loves you sooooo much that he's kept you on the back-burner for three years. Nailing you when he's good and ready telling you he's struggling between you and his wife.
And I can honestly tell you, as a man that cheated on his wife, that he doesn't love you. You're offering him something superficial because he is too childish (as was I) to take care of a real woman - the woman that honestly did sacrifice everything to be with his selfish butt.
