I met my wife on October 1 of one year. By the end of November, we knew we would get married. We got engaged February 4 of the next year. We married May 29th of the year.
So 8 months from first meeting to wedding. But what works for me, doesn't work for everybody.
We have been married for several years. We bought a house together, are expecting our second child, and have a very stable and happy marriage. (And for you skeptics, I said "happy", not "argument free").
Both of my parents tell me that I couldn't have found a better match for me.
Other couples I know took less time, and I also know of coupoles who dated for years before marriage was even discussed. The ampount of time needed really depends on the couple.

There is no time limit at all! People fall in love in 5 seconds or in 50 years. How lucky you are to have found someone in just 4 months! You all sound so smart for waiting til after college to get married. That gives you 4 years to really fall in love! Good luck! And congrats! I feel from you this will be a happy relationship!! :-)

Me o, Oh hon it varies. You two may know more about each other than people who have been together for years ! Open communication is a very important key to long term happiness ! Total honesty about everything ! Everything !!!

4 months might be a little too short.
and especially at 19 and 21, i would wait and see if this is REALLY going to work out, and if the new is going to wear off.
i mean, if you feel he is 'the one' maybe you should just accept his hand in marriage, but hold off the wedding and see how things go...or just try dating for a little longer.
hope it helps
:D

It all depends. For me it was about 5 months of knowing her and about 1 month of dating. We too waited for a few years until college was done. It worked for us, good luck to you,

Me, personally will never get married or have children.
But I am in love =D And hope to be in the future too.
You will just know but don't rush it or force it. I'm sure many people have told you before that marriage is a life-long commitment. =S

you should at least wait two to three years ATLEAST I knew mine for five years before we got married and at that time I thought I was ready but it still changed every thing when we got married its a lot more personal and romantic when your just datting I think.. Just a lot more worries and thoughts once you say "I do"
