Marriage & Divorce - 27 November 2006

My 4+1/2 year old daughter who has just started going to school asked me this the other day, and I answered her with the best of my ability, but it really got me wondering..... How would you answer that question to a 4 year old? (we have no history of divorces to explain what that means... and try and link it for her, (thankfully I suppose!).

Does anybody know how it became "Step" mother/father/sister/brother?

I just married for 3 months. Every sat, my hubby and me have sex. Sometime, he wanted to have on weekday, but I rejected him. We quarrel. I just dont feel like having it. What can I do or have so that I want to have more sex? I am scare that my hubby look for others.

Honesty is very important to me. I realize I can't tell if you are a predator, axe murder or some sort of deviat - none of which I want to talk to!!!! We were happy and excited to have a home when we bought our flat 3.5 years ago. But he is lazy, verbally abusive when angry and is poor at showing his feelings...we argue constantly and I have recently moved back to my parents. When we are good we are good together, but when we are fighting it's a nightmare and he never can take the blame...he gets agreesive with things in our home (holes in walls, holes in doors, broken chairs) whereas I get hysterical and start crying uncontrollably which seems to provoke him...he doesnt listen and he always says its everyone else's fault. Our flat which was once a nice place looks horrid, holes in our bedroom wall, holes in the doors, half decorated kitchen and he makes no effort to repair anything he makes excuses. He has no social life he is never out. He lets me drive around in a death trap and doesnt even care, he does things when it breaks down and he has too....but Ilove him and I miss him when I am not there..what shall I do? Please someone..

I am married to this man that has cheated on me time and time again. Whenever I confront him on it he says that the person that told me was either trying to destroy our home or I just want him to cheat so I can leave him. Neither statement is true. I forgave him all those times but not this time he made it public and I just cant let this go again. He always begs to stay or promises to never do it again. He said that he doesnt have anywhere to go. I dont want to be married to him anymore. He says that I am kicking him when he is down. What he means by that is that he just recently lost his job. So I am being cold hearted. I just dont have it in me anymore to let this go. We also have a child.

I've been married for 18 years to a wonderful woman - she's a total SEXPOT. My son's friends refer to her as a MILF! Her attitude and her appearance add to her sexuality. I've given her orgasms that last nearly an hour and leave her a puddle of flesh.
I've never had an orgasm that I would call great. Thinking back over my life, I can't remember one orgasm that stands out. Is there some way to improve it? I’m together with my fiancé that I really care for. I made a promise to stay with her because I thought it would work. Unfortunately, now I know it won’t. She’s lazy, doesn’t drive, doesn’t work, not independent, and has anxiety problems. Worse, my entire family doesn’t want me to continue the relationship, so I know it’s best to end it. .........I just posted the question of whether my boyfriend will propose....I have to say that I did ask him to marry me about one year aga and he said yes. About a year after that we were in the mall and I wanted to just look at some rings....just to look around. That was a five minute stop that turned into about 30minutes of looking and talking to a salesman and sizing my finger. Now I have to say that I initiated the 'ok let's go' b/c I know how nervous men get about things, but he wanted us to look and talk to the salesperson there. So what do you take of that? Help? I have been in a relationship with a guy for about 1 year now. He started becoming friends with someone I don't like. I talked to him about it and he told me that he would stop talking to her. He hasn't and he continues to lie to me about it. He says that nothing is going on but he didn't tell me because I have insecurity issues and everytime he talks to another girl I always asks him if he wants to be with them. Is this a valid point he is making? He told me when we were arguing that I felt I could tell him what to do because now I have more money than he does. Also, am I being unreasonable to ask him to stop talking to this person? Do you think we can get past this and continue a relationship.

I married a guy that i fell in love with about 3 yrs ago .Someone who I thought was going to make a life change for the better but instead has made life a living hell. when I frist meet him he was a hard working man. He would work days in and out but since i've married him that has all changed. now he not able to find work at all. I've always work and can do it all by myself but now i'm afraid because i did say until death do us part through thick and thin. we have no kids and i tried of the baby mom drummer alone with the inlaws i'm wanting to call it off how more can i take?

Although I am not ill, I feel the need to make it known that if I were to die, than I want my husband to raise all of our children, even my son from a previous relationship. Is this possible without him having to adopt him, and if so, how? My husband would do anything to adopt my son. He is the ONLY father that he has ever known,(since 5 mos. old). Unfortunatly, his bio. dad (sperm donar is more adequate!) will not hear of it! His bio. dad went to prison when I found out I was pregnant. He was released shortly after my sons first birthday. He was incarcerated again when my son was 2, and is currently still in prison,( release date 2009). When he gets out, my son will be eight yrs. old, and will have never met him. He hasnt ever even sent a card! Last year, he requested a paternity test from prison. Ofcourse he was proven the father. I fear that if I were to die, then my son would be snatched from his wonderful father, and be forced to live with his criminal "father". What can I do?

I have been married for 20 years to an emotionally abusive moody,angry man. I have tried to hang in their for religious reasons as well as for my kids. But I am suffering from stress related health problems now and even my blood pressure is being affected. He has made numerous promises to change his ways and turn over a new leaf. He promised to stop being so self centered and make me and the kids a priority in his life. He is also a workaholic and hobbyaholic.He is non comunicative and arrogant when I bring up these issues. He has changed extremely little over the years and only temporary. He soon goes back to his old ways and I am in the throes of the same old battles again. I swear, I can't take much more of this. I try to forgive him when he apologizes and says he will do better. How or why should I keep believing him? I am literally sick and tired of being sick and tired. I want to get off this roller coaster but I can't seem to budge one way or the other to free myself from this

Some friends of mine were legally divorced 3 months ago. Apparently the woman decided she wanted more of the stuff that she left at the house Saturday night and BROKE IN to his house, broke two windows and took the Kirby Vaccum, a digital camera, a tape recorder , and the wiring to the VCR, DVD Player and TV, and a bunch of his cloths, and all of his bills and house payment book. He is pressing charges today, but... I am wondering if she will be charged with Breaking & Entry, Theft, Criminal Mischief, or what? Since the divorce was final, isn't it just as bad as stealing fron a stranger? He has her admitting she broke in and stole the stuff. How much trouble is she is in?
