He also told me before we started dating, if we broke up we would always be friends. Is there a chance that you can still be friends with your ex and act polite toward one another? Please give some examples.

My bestfriend is getting a divorce from her husband but only because they fight with each other about her step son. She heard that when you are in the process of the divorce that they cant have sex or it will prolong the divorce if the court finds out. Is that true?

I'm very close friends with 7 other women - we have been friends since grade school. I recently suggested that my girlfriends and I should go fly away for the weekend for our 40th birthday (2 1/2 yrs away). I'm married, 2 kids and the kids would be 9 and 7 at the time of the trip. My husband says I should not go on this trip because: 1. the expense of the trip will take away from the family vacation if I go on this trip, 2. he doesn't take any trips without the kids and myself and 3. he feels that as a mother my first priority should be the family and not out taking far away trips with old girlfriends. He also says he will divorce me if I go on this trip. I say he's overreacting and should let me go. Please give me your opinion on this matter.

Or would it be your fault that you were unable to uncover that before you got married, and your punishment would be that you have to endure it forever???

It's about my mom,she called me and tell so much thing that depressed me. First of all she told me that I'm nothing and then I can't help anybody for nothing. She said that I never give her some money then I'm a bad girl. I said: but mom you know I have nothing(I don't work). She said yes but you have a husband.

She needs me take money from my husband for her and my brothers. I don't like that. How I can do this to him? I don't know why but I feel if I continue to listen to her my marriage will be ruined.

I am in the middle of a divorce and the preliminary hearing is in Dec I spoke to my attorney today and although she was nice she had not read over any of the police reports I have turned into her and she seemed like she knew very little about the case. I have only met with her once and she is in a large very well known law firm put I feel like she is not acting fast enough and with enough fury any advice. I dont have money and cant just dump her. Is it normal for an attorney to not be familar with things until the hearing? How should I handle this? My ex is abusive drunk who is fighting for custody?

For example, in a child custody / support matter, the non-custodial parent has an attorney. The custodial parent does not. Non-custodial parent'y attorney threated custodial parent with further court proceedings if custodial parent doesn't agree to waive non-custodial parent's obligation to pay child support. Is this ethical?

My wife can treat an ant better than she treats me. I try my hardest to love her with all I've got. I can't be her perfect man but I can try to do my best. She's still cold as an iceberg and manipulative with her mouth. How do I control this woman before I crack?

- We have now been togather for 9 years, out of the nine years i was happy about 3
-He has never abused me but has caused me a great deal of pain by the way he disrepects me, doesn't help out and how inconsiderate he is to my feelings.
- i made a mistake by getting married, but i felt obligated to do so for the sake of my son, now i feel as though i am trapped forever.
-My un-happiness is seen and felt not only by me but by all the people around me, what do i do.

How long have you been together and what is the hardest thing about having a spouse with one?

2006-11-13 10:38:52 · 12 answers · asked by Kelly s 6

Like many american men, I was sent overseas to serve my country, which i did very proudly. Unfortunately upon returning i discovered the wife had gotton a boyfriend. We seperated, she moved in with him, two months later she is pregnant, by him. I have no desire to be with her in any shape, form or fashion. i have a divorce lawyer currently working the particulars of the divorce, which she is making extremely difficult to happen altho she is the guilty party. I am curious to see how the vast majoriy of particulary the women in the audience think or believe is the proper way to deal with the cheating spouse.

The reason for my earlier question was because of recent strange events , call it Karma, Fate, call it what ever, this takes some figuring out.

I had not thought of my ex for many, many years, then out of the blue, last week, these events happened

1. doing research for a work project, the top result in the subject I was looking for gave me the address next door to where she lives ( This will become clearer later)

2. I went into a shop 20 miles from where I live now and 50 miles from where she lives and was given a free booklet which I dropped on the floor, when I picked it up it had opened to an advert for the establishment she runs now !!(giving the address next door to the above.)

3. Going through paperwork in my office at home, I found what I was looking for, which had another sheet stuck to it,

my divorce papers stuck to together with her last letter to me on the top !!!

THE WEIRD THING IS,

YESTERDAY WAS HER BIRTHDAY !!

Is this a sign OR coincidence ?
