If you found out? You should have known this/her better before you got married. That is why we, as a race, need to have long engagements before committing for life.

No I do not think that you would have to stay in a marriage simply because you did not know she was a bigot but I do have to ask that question of why you did not see it earlier? If you decided to part ways then it would be the same if you could not live together ie irreconcilable difference...so do not punish yourself and do what you need to do to find happiness...

I lived w/a man for years and begged him to not be a bigot. The terms he used were terrible, he had special names for every race and would use them to describe things about them.
So, I finally had enough and after all the years of begging, pleading and tying to change him I left and never looked back. He has had a few g/f's since and they left too because of the same thing. You have to be like minded to have any life together.

Did you meet her and marry her the next day? Come on, that's something that should have been detected within the first couple of weeks.
You need to talk to her about that and let her know its unacceptable. Just remember, some things cannot be changed.

Sometimes people pretend to be what we want and then when they've got you where they want you, they let out their true nature. If it is intolerable to you and she is unwilling to try to change, perhaps divorce would not be such a bad idea, as evidently the marriage was based on a sham in the first place.

you should have had this information before you married her... as being with a person that is prejudice can be hard to live with at times....you cannot change a person when it comes to their ways... its like a Christian wanting a non Christian to change their beliefs ....why did you not see this before you married her.... did she not show that she was a bigot before you got married??

Divorce is a sin. But maybe in time you can show her not to be a bigot.

I don't believe in forever because nothing lasts that long....and it'[s your choice what you can accept or not accept from somebody you can say do not act or speak like that around me because it offends me and my values.
