Really? You hear it all the time, I would die for...or give my life for... Would you? If yes, who would you really die for and why? Your husband? Child?

know your future partner well enough to run for cover if they turn out to be incompatible on a daily basis. It also protects the woman from just shacking up forever since the guy has to decide to commit or not. What do you think of this idea?

Do you think that telling your kids the following is a good idea based on your marriage experience: 1) not to think of marriage until after cllege, 2) no living together until a wedding date has been set, 3) together at least 2 years (engaged and living together for 2nd year if wedding date set), and 4) think of the partners family as marriage material as much as the partner (they're going to be part of life for a long time)?

I don't feel like my husband pays enough attention to me when we are with other people. For instance, at a bar, he will not stand by me, or talk with me, or get me a drink, as though he forgets that I'm there (He will get me a refill if I remind him). I know that he loves me, but I'd like for him to perhaps be more affectionate towards me when are in a public place. Any suggestions? Thanks a million in advance for y'alls help!

I would like to surprise my wife with some sexy lingerie? I know what I like to see her in, but what I like isn't necessarily what she will feel sexy wearing. Any suggestions?

So, we all fight, right? I would like to know who usually breaks the silence in your marriage/relationship when you fight and stop talking to each other ie. Your spouse or you.
Why is it that way?
Thanks and hope you are all having a wonderful friday.

Okay, I have been with my husband for 4 years. I am bi-polar and have always been. I communicate often to him when I am manic or depressed (as much as I can), if there is a change in medicine, etc. I go to therapy regularly to work on my issues as well. The problem is that my husband regularly gets violent, he doesn't hit me, but he destroys our home. He destroys doors, holes in walls, kicks in doors. We just bought this home and he is literally destroying it. My son got so tired of walking on eggshells that he has moved to my parents house and he is 15. I had to call th cops yesterday as his anger once again got out of control and this time he punched glass and his hands are all cut up! I believe we need to separate as does he. Can we work this out? He wants to blame all of his violent behavior on me. He is EXTREMELY ANGRY THAT I CALLED THE POLICE. He says he will never forgive me for calling cops but I didn't know how to get his violence to stop!

What would you do if you wanted to end up your marriage with your husband because he is irresponsible but he keeps on saying that let him stay a bit since he has nowhere to go (which is true...)
He has no job and money to find a place to stay...
He promises that he'll leave once he gets enough money to move out...

I'm a resident of one State, my ex another. The divorce is through my State. Our divorce includes his paying me child support as well as half of joint bills from our marriage. I was told that if he doesn't pay child support there are ways to get help, even if he is out of State. (He does not pay.) BUT, I was told that if he does not pay any of the other money the court says he owes me, while I can file for contempt of Court, the court can not do anything as he is out of State. So simply put, no matter what the Court decides he has to pay, he will never be held to it. This does not sound right to me. Does anyone know if this is true? Or is there a way I can enforce our legal agreements? I don't think he should be above the law...

I have filed for divorce in the state that my husband and I were married in and lived in. He left me to move to another state last September 2005. He isn't happy with the way things are going with my lawyer, he has said he's going to get his own lawyer and file for divorce in the state he lives in now. He has to be a resident for a year in order to file for divorce. My question is, if he serves me with papers, what and whose divorce papers will be used? I know that he's going to contest the papers that my lawyer sent him. We are not legally seperated, he has a girlfriend and she is living with him, somehow I don't find this to be a good thing on his side. Any advice, i would appreciate it. Thanks

7 months ago I caught my husband with another woman, a married woman. I told her husband about the affair and they split up. Now my husband and his wife are living together and she is 6 months pregnant. During the past 7 months me and this girls husband have fallen into a relationship. We rarely talk about our ex's and he is very attentive to me. We dont talk about our feelings for each other either. We have been intimate for the past 5 months. I feel like I am in love with him but am afraid to say. Has anyone heard of a relationship brought together under circumstances like these working? I really care for him but am so afraid of getting hurt.
