Nothing you can do. There are no laws that require the custodial parent to provide proof that the support was spent on the children. The only thing that your man can do is to continue paying.

Been there and understand your frustration. However you really need to consider that she does pay for their rent/mortgage, food, clothing, school supplies and everything else a child needs. Consider that he is to pay a percentage of those same bills which in turn puts money in her pocket. Now, I don't know the laws in your state, but where I'm from we were able to buy clothes, school supplies and a computer for my spouses daughter and actually had the money spent on the items deducted from his child support. Have your man talk with his child support agent and see if this is something he can do. Otherwise I wouldn't worry about what is done with the money. If you know his children are well fed, clothed well and live in a good environment then she is taking care of his children properly which is what really matters here. Good Luck & God Bless!

Take her to court and get it modified. Get PROOF otherwise, it is only your word against hers.

BUT sounds kind of biased. He is your man, so you see things from HIS perspective. How do you really know she isn't spending it on them. If her money goes to the household bills, and their support, then maybe by the time the check comes, she takes out of it what she couldn't use before, because she had to pay for the things they needed without having HIS portion.

Just a different perspective to look at it from. I can say that because I am both a wife to a man who has a daughter from a previous relationship, and the custodial parent who deals with a dead beat dad who doesn't pay a dime. He quit his job and is now engaging in tax free, illegal means of self support.

See the thing is, she doesn't spend the money on herself. She has expenses related to HIS children and it is his RESPONSIBILITY to pay child support. They get it by the food in their belly, the roof over their heads, the cloths on there back and every other expense related to them. Even if she takes the actual child support check and goes straight to the beauty saloon with it, it doesn't matter. He MUST help her or he is NOT a MAN.

I've seen this happen again and again. Nothing can be done about it. I know of Grandparents that are raising their daughter's kids but they never see any support money becuase their daughter spends it on herself.

How do you know what she spends it on? If she's paying rent, buying food, paying the bills, putting gas in the car, clothing on the kids' backs, paying the phone bill and medical insurance-- what makes you think the money isn't spend on the kids? It's none of your business.

It's very fustrating to see this and to be helpless. I've experience that myself. The laws need to be changed. The custodial parent should have to account for how the money is spent.

Just my thoughts.

Not a thing. The court says pay it. If you can prove this then when she files to take him back to court for additional dollars you can tell the judge you'd be glad to however the kids aren't getting the cash anyway. perhaps if they did (your honor) she wouldn't need the additional money to clothe 'em.

if you have concrete proof then "your man" needs to take her lousy *** to court, and you need to stay out of it unless you have some kind of legal custody or legal monitary obligation to these kids. don't mean to sound rude but this problem is between him and his ex-wife.
