Marriage & Divorce - 24 October 2006

I have been separated from abusive husband for 3 months and have to wait another three months to file for divorce (since I moved out of state). He keeps asking me if we're getting back together, and my counselor suggested I not tell him yet since she thinks that if he thinks he in a lose-lose situation, he may come try to take the kids or hurt me or something. But I feel badly that I have made a decision to leave him and have not told him. He says his life is in limbo and he needs to know. Should I tell him, or wait until I can file for divorce and have him served with papers?

I love him and one day it can be like 'wow, this is so amazing.' he blows my mind, is a great friend, romantic, passionate, loving, great in bed lol. then the next day he can be making me cry. because i feel so much for him. because i think it's going to be that way the next day. i build myself up and he crashes me back down. gets upset with me over nothing, like if i come home late, or i call too much or too little. one day he was upset with me and the next day i needed some space because he talks like i wreck everything even over these little things. then the day after he goes 'obviously you dont want to talk to me anymore' but i so do. as long as he's happy. but he drains me for a few days and then everything is nice again.

Together for 10years with a 4year old son. Separated for 4weeks now. We had one small arguement, I turned out of proportions. This might have been used as an escape route or might have triggered past problems. Now she's dating another man. But things arent working out with them. She moved out and made it clear she wants out of relationship with me. 1st week->I begged, 2nd week->I stayed neutral, 3rd week->I courted her..none of it worked and she's just making it clearer for us to move on our own ways....but all this week, I stayed quiet and said "I quit and won't be chasing you anymore, but should there be a chance for us, there's no reason in this world, I wouldn't take you back" Basically, I just let go...Yesterday, she called me for the 1st time, making arrangements to be together as a family one day on the weekend....Today...she message me saying, sign those divorce papers....WHAT IS GOING IN ON??ANY WOMAN WANT TO LET ME KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON OR WHAT TACTICS ARE BEING USED?

i am from the usa, and am engaged to a uk citizen. i was told i would have to go home to get permission from the usa to get married here in the uk. is there any way around this? is there a country where you do not have to get permission from your home country? links to websites would be very helpful, thanks.

We were married and had two children and he left before the 2nd was born. The children are 8 and 10. He would like them to come and stay with him during the summer months in California, the kids currently live in Georgia. They do not have a relationship with him and are tramatize by the ideal. I have asked him to begin calling the children to create some sort of bond with him and he refuses. The kids were calling him once a week and he will not return any of their phone calls.

always staring other girls all the time........I am not able to respect him and this thing is killing me from inside and is making me insecure about everything about myself.I have discussed this thing with him a lot many times that whatever he does disturbs me a lot......but he says that he never does it consiously,we have been married for 2 yrs now and he is like this from the time we married.

she doesnt work, has the kids 55% to my 45%, share custody, she does nothing with the 3 kids, I have the 9&10 in music lessons, playing soccer, religion, do their homework with them stay home my two normal days with the 3 yr old boy, I run a business make the money, she hasnt worked for 10 yrs in our 12 yr marriage, she has never picked up or dropped off in 2 yr seperation once on exchanging the kids, she used to drink alot, a 12 pack of beer atleast a day, had seizures and I had them about 75% last year til family court services made this report and judge adopted instead of my concern of child safety, we each have two days and then alternate weekends, I just switched attorneys, I have had to already pay 10 k in legal to her sister who she hired for an attorney, I have spent 45-50 k and all we have is the house and businesss and 3 kids. She claims everything, abuse etc, with not one piece of proof, I pay $4100 mth child/spoused plus health in, yr and half & nothing solved, what to do?

This man is 39 years old from India and work in hospital in Saudi Arabia. He proposed my friend to marry her. He told my friend that he's never been married.They've never meet in person. They met online through dating site.They're writng each other everyday back and forth for about a month or so now.

My friend is 53 years old widow and has three children of her own. Now how this relationship going to turn out if she cannot give him anymore kids. According to my India friend an India man accustomed that a wife can give children to her husband. If not he'll find another woman. My friend told this man about the situation and he said to her that he does not care about the ages different and if she can't give him children. I just wonder if this man married and has children and just want to come to united states. I just want to know what do you think regarding this situation. Is this really true and honest love?

My boyfriend and I have been together since last September. We have talked about having a family together from the beginning and fell in love quickly. He has to be out of town for business a lot now.

Anyway, last Thursday he told me he would be here Friday morning and so he told me I could sleep at his house so that I would be there when he got home. I live two hours away from his house here. When I got there I saw a print out of his emails back and forth to a woman from a dating site in February. He was obviously leading her on a little, and never mentioned me. I left and drove home that night and didn't call him. The next day he figured out I found it and drove to my house to talk to me. He told me he met her for lunch (for two hours) and then sat on his tailgate and talked for "the afternoon". I emailed the woman and she ended up calling him and not emailing me back. He said he didn't answer or call back but I don't believe him. What should I do besides "dump him"?

I have been with my live-in boyfriend for 3-yrs. I love him and wish we could have a normal relationship. He used to drink heavily, but in the last 3-months he has slowed down to just the weekends. But this past week he drank everyday and missed an entire week's work! And he has missed two day's this week. I know he lies to me about his drinking even though I know when he's drunk. I can't stand the person he becomes when he drinks. We always fight. He told me the other night that he knows that if he continues to do what he's doing he will lose me. But I know he won't stop. I want to leave him but I'm worried about what will happen to him if I leave? Any suggestions???

she left 20 years ago, and please don't say why bother looking, i only want closure, and yes i am sure that i do. anyway, i am wondering if anyone knows of a good way, i have even paid the $60 search and sent out about 12 letters to the addresses i got, with no responses. she may not want to be found, or i may not have found her, but either way, i am determined to. i have a friend who found her father through some organization, very small, i want to say it was called ALMA? anyway, i can't find any info on them, does anyone know of them, or some other similar organization i could go through? i really need to find her (physical address i can go to preferably), if for nothing else than closure. thanks in advance!

Some people have little or not experience with having and raising children. Perhaps that makes it more difficult for them to realize they simply can't be over-dependant for enjoyment from sex.
