Marriage & Divorce - 30 September 2006

We been together for 10yrs & he is not getting any better. He have bad habits & alway being around his friends. I used to try to make things work only because we have 2 daughters together. My 5yr old is very smart so everytime we get at it she would cry & tell me how she wants everyone 2 live together & how it is not a family without everyone. We try not to argue in front of them but she can read us & i don't know how i can make her happy & myself happy. After trying everything i just want to give this up. I refuse to seek counsling. He is not there 4 us when we need him. I am to the point where i am done but i don't know how. I want him out of the house but he will not leave. Everytime i talk 2 him about divorce he screams & say go ahead but everytime i fill the papers out he would rip them up. He would throw things when he gets mad. I tried talking, screaming, threatening him & even give him the silent treatment but none of it works. Can someone give me some good advise please

Ok say there is someone that wants to leave a really nasty, unhealthy relationship but they have looked everywhere for a job including jobs like McDonalds, Pizza Hut, and Blockbuster and they didn't even call back. They applied to dozens and dozens of jobs but could not get hired. Why? Don't know. Could be lack of experience and professional references. They haven't worked for several years because of raising kids then not being able to find a job. After months of rejection from even lowly places like fast food and imimum wage jobs they can't take it anymore.They wanted to get a job then get their own place to live but can't do that without a job. There is no where else to go. There is 1 set of relatives but they are super controlling and were abusive. (Girls from abused relationships have tendencies to unintentionally get in new abusive relationships). So is someone in this situation doomed to be trapped for life or is there anything else? Children are involved or she would live incar

My husband and I have been together for 10 years, we are best friends, and we have 2 sons. The problem I am having all these years later is stability. My husband got a really good job over a year ago. We ended up fufilling our dream of moving out to the country and building a home. We put all of our savings into our new home and land. A month after we move in, my husband gets fired from his job for a positive drug test. He had sworn to me before that he had quit smoking pot and would never risk his career for it. He has been out of work for 6 months now and we are $50,000 in debt with credit cards and loans. My husband continues to go out and party with these people he was doing drugs with before, and sometimes he lets them stay over. I am a full time college student working towards 2 degrees and I cannot go out and work. I am worried that he just might not be the one for me anymore. I love him and he is good to me, but I need someone stable in my life. Any suggestions?

I am very unhappy in my marriage. I believe it is because my husband is so selfish. He expects so much from me and gives little to nothing in return. The only time he pays any attention to me is when he wants sex. Anytime I try to talk to him about anything, even day to day conversation, he gets a blank look on his face or simply walks away. Makes me feel like whatever I have to say is unimportant and not worth listening to.
We recently moved to another state where financial things were supposed to be improved, he lied about everything to me. Told me it would be better because he had a job lined up, housing and bills cheaper and his family to help with childcare. Every one of those turned out to be untrue.
I also have a son (not his) that he doesn't even try to bond with. He treats him like hired help. It hurts me to see all this and my husband not even care.
I want to leave him, but not hurt my kids. What is the right thing to do?

I belieive my husband is cheating. we have been married for 1 year and been together for 10. we have been seperated for 3 months now and i'm not sure why. he gives me all sort of reasons but i dont beleive them. He still comes around and calls. He gives me money. He tells me all the time that he loves me. I'm not sure what to do about this. He wont admit to it. I work and go to school full time and I have been concentrating on just that and my kids. But it hurts becasue I am suppose to have a life with him and he is not there most of the time. Yesterday he took me to the movies and out to eat. But its just not enough I need him there with me and the kids. I need him to be faithful to me. what Do I do. Just continue like this. I love this man to death but i'm tired of my feelings being played with. So what do you think. am I the only that feels this way. I feel so alone sometimes. I trully need help.

My relative is very charming , sociable and has completed her management education., after doing advanced course in English Literature. She is in her late twenties and is from a good educated Hindu family. But she is somewhat overweight. She is also well employed and earning a fairly good salary.Nowadays , it seems, all qualities become secondary to a girl being ' tall & slim'. Her parents are getting really worried as they would definitely like to see her married and settled ,reasonably well.

Ok for those of you that have moved on.. you still feel sad about your divorce even though you want it, so what exactly are those feelings?My mother says she went through them even though she no longer loved my father that way, my bf just got divorced, he's been great and everything, but just want some different opinions on what those feelings are ? just so i can understand the situation a little better. I want to know how I can have a better relationship with my dad.
I don't think im doing anything wrong, I think it's him.
I don't know if this is "normal" but like I can't wait until i'm 18 so I can move out, and get away from my dad. He's just always angry, grumpy, and completely favors my sister. My parents are divorcing right now, and everything is hell on earth. We're always fighting about the simplest things. For instance, he was upset because I left a baseball at my mom's house, and forgot to bring it over. He has a MAJOR fit. He has about 20 other ones.

my husband is a verball, emotionaly and once a physical alcaholic abuser. I have told him I am filing for divorce which I am. He says he's going to kill himself ( emotional abuse). He stops drinking for a couple days and I start thinking he's going to change but he goes back to drinking ( we also have 3 kids a 2yr 4 yr and 6yr). He playing with there emotions also ( is daddy going to be home tonight?) why can't I just let go of him? why won't he choose his family over budweiser? Well we have been divorced for 5 yrs and things have been smooth because of me keeping my mouth shut for the kids sake. He didnt pay child support for 3 yrs, didnt carry medical insurance per the divorce decree, but i didnt push it cuz he was bipolar and a little wacky at the time, so when he did get help i put those things behind me and went on. but now his new wife of 3 yrs asked me to pick up and drop off the kids 3 wks ago cuz they couldnt and i did so with the agreement the next time she would do the same. well, the weekend came and when i told her i would be at my moms and to pick the kids up there she went balistic on the phone saying it wasnt her responsibility. so my ex called and said since he pays child support thats my job. im fed up and think i need to make them pick up and drop off for awhile to prove to them i dont have to do it but i choose to, to make it fair for both of us. I just want to know if its legal. my divorce decree just states the weekends. not who travels

Is October 31st the official holiday, or the day that your community observes halloween. The stipulation just says halloween, without any date. Would it make sense that the holiday would be whatever date the kids and I would be able to actually celebrate the holiday? Opinions are welcome, as well as if someone actually knows the legal answer to this question in the state of Wisconsin.

He has visitation in the divorce decree that states he gets even holidays and me odd and he get every other weekend for visititation. They have always picked up the kids on fri and i pick them up from them on sun. do i have to do this, or if he wants to see them does he have to drive both ways?

in my divorce. He filed in May and is still living in the house with me and my two sons. This has been a nightmare and I have written you, asking questions, over the past five months. Wish me well, with prayers, that the judge make him move out of the house and that this divorce get granted. This has been a valuable lesson for me.
