Good listening is such a POWERFUL skill to have.
I think I'm a good listener but I have to work at it, its hard to keep your mouth shut sometimes ya know :)

I'm a good listener. Plus it gives me brownie points with the girls lol No, but being a good listener sucks because it sometimes brings trouble. For example my friend and this one girl who is in my class got into this huge argument over some stupid little thing. To tell you the truth they where both wrong. The girl (Linda) thought that the teacher said to do the first worksheet then take the second worksheet home and do it as homework. My friend thought the teacher said to take both worksheets home and do it as homework. Only for reals the teacher said to do both worksheets as classwork. Long story short they both got mad at me because I did not back up any of them and also because I was right. Stupid huh? Now I have to go to school on Monday with both of them mad at me. Now the question really is which one are you? The good listener or the one who hardly pays attention to those who speak to you? I'll leave you to sleep on that lol

Im from Liverpool in the UK were people talk very fast, they also seem to have the ability to talk and listen at the same time!
It wasnt till I went overseas to live that it became a problem, cos the people there didnt have the knack so it seemed like i was always butting in.
Ive learnt to control it and give the other person 'stage room' but its great when Im with my sister and we both talk at the same time and take everything in as well as answering, freaks the locals out though lol
Now I like to think I listen to what people are taking the time to tell me, Im always approached when people want advice or just an ear to listen so I must be doing somethign right

Sometimes I am a good listener…
Sometimes I don’t really pay attention…
Much depends on what is being said to me, and how it is said !!!
It could also depend on ‘who is doing the talking’…
Some people just talk sh*t, so I would be inclined to not listen too attentively in their case !!!
I try to listen to people…
But have to admit that my mind does sometimes ‘wander’ and I can miss what is being said!!!
If I believe something that is being said ‘is important’…
I will ‘listen’ more attentively !!!

I listen more that I talk I like finding out new things about people especially people I think I already know well enough! I usually give great advice also, that may something to do with being a great listener, I can usually pick out what people really wanna talk about or wanna say to me or want me to say to them. Do you need some one to listen to you or is this just a "think about what kind of person we really are" type questions? Well anyway I'm all ears or I guess all screen if you need to vent!

I rarely get the opportunity to speak one on one,for no apparent reason.Maybe I am not a good listener,or maybe just not the first person most would confide in.I am always available to listen,if it is truly one on one,though.I just do not like to gossip...and I seem to tune all that out.Seems like a lot of people have so little to really talk about,and I get bored.Maybe I am just not using the listening gift correctly.

It depends on the subject, the person and the conditions. I feel that I am a good listener, however to listen to someone who cant tell you what time it is without telling you how to "build the watch" is difficult.

it depends on if i like the person who is talking or if i find the subject they are discussing interesting. but mostly i try to pay close attention to what they are saying because if you dont that can sometimes come back to haunt you.....like the time i said yes without knowing what i was saying yes to and wound up in a square dance competion for an entire weekend. so know i definitely pay close attention to what is being said

I am a good listener when people have lagitament things to talk about. What I mean by this is that if someone is a drama queen/king I kinda tune them out or avoid them or the topic.
