I kicked out my boyfriend (basically my husband) of 6yrs last week. After 2 yrs of dating and after I moved in with him, I found out he was on drugs. It devastated me. I did everything to help him and finally he went to a very expensive/prominent rehab 1 1/2 yrs ago. It cost almost 15,000. His family helped me to help him. He is 51 and they told me had been on Heroin since he was 16. Well last week he came home from a weekend trip to his home town and was on it again. I saw how he was and decided not to go through the fiery pits of hell again and I kicked him out. I am hurt because be did not even say goodbye to me. He could have said Thank U, I 'm sorry, kiss my butt or something, but he said nothing and left town. He had told me a few years ago that no one had ever tried to help him before me and that no one had faith in him and I was the best thing that ever happened to him. Well I feel really crapped on and as if I meant nothing at all to him. I guess he loves drugs more.

Like my other question I still miss him and sometime I don't, But I really want to make it work. It's gonna be hard because the women he cheated with his still with her but I need some advice if there's still chance for us should I ask him if he would make our marriage work and go to counseling r should I just move on.

I know a couple going through a rough time, 30 years into marriage because the wife has decided she lived her life for him, and she doesn't know who she is. He has apologized for his way of handling things countless times, but she still won't say she loves him, show him any affection, and continues to be angry. It took her 30 years to say "Enough." Does she have the right to hold it over his head? For how long?
(There is no infedlity, no abuse--just an example of domineering marries passive.)

I'm married for 24 years and have known my wife since she was 9 and I was 13. We've raised our little guys past adolescence and they took some of the spark out of our closeness as you can expect through the years.

Does anyone have suggestions on this before we become "old dogs" that can't be taught new tricks. ARF!

Here's the situation. I have a friend who is married to a woman overseas. After marriage, he returned to the USA and started the visa policy and then started cheating on her with another woman. He moved the new woman in his home with her children, slept in the same bed. The woman eventually left him, moved out and took her kids, obviously. Now, even though he is married, he is cheating on his wife AGAIN with this woman, and put in a reversal to the visa process without telling his wife. She found out when she called the embassy for an update.

She is devastated and thinks that she has done something wrong for him to marry her, take her virginity, then come back home to the US and start mistreating her (Which she assumed was because he was in school and under a lot of stress)... then stop the visa proceedings.

Would you tell the wife about the other woman? It pains me to see her so hurt and blaming herself for what his jerk did to her.

Do you think telling her would HELP?

I'd like to appologize to all the women of the world and my wife, what i did was truely embarrassing and a truely low moment for me. Even though she dumped me and threw things at me I still love her and I know in her heart she loves me too. I want to become a better man, is there still hope for me? I see the error of my ways and let the alcohol get the best of me for one night. Please if you have nothing nice to say don't say it as I am getting bombarded with all these nasty posts and it hurts to know other people could be so cruel as we all are human and we all make mistakes.

I've got a really good friend who's in the Airforce... Currently he's stationed in Japan... Anyhow, He recently met up with a friend of ours from school and they found they have a lot in common. He says it's like looking into a mirror. They call themselves Twins. He says he's in love with her and wants to marry her. Only problem is she's married. Claims it's an unhappy marriage and that things have been bad for a while because he told her a NASTY lie before they got married and then revealed the truth on their honeymoon. She said she doesn't want to be with her current husband anymore and loves the AF guy. But according to both of them she can't afford to pay for a divorce, but from what AF guy says the only way they can be together with him being overseas is marriage. So is she playing him? Or can they actually be together?

We were together for a little over a year and he left me due to us bickering too much. I ended up being too clingy towards the end because I knew he was about to leave, and this just drove him further away. The problem is, I think about him everyday, A LOT. I haven't seen him or spoken to him in a year! I'm still sad about it to the point of crying on a daily basis. I don't know what to do to move on. I'm busy with my own life, but I can't get him out of my head. I haven't even been able to date anyone else. Any advice? This is consuming my mind/life and making me sick.

I need some advice here, people. My husband and I have been separated for 2 years now. He's living 3 states away. Our youngest son just turned 18 and I'm feeling like my life is passing me by waiting for either a reconciliation or divorce. Hubby wants me to move to live where he is which would mean selling the house and leaving our 2 youngest sons. I think I'd rather just file for divorce, sell the house, go back to school and make something of myself without him. We have problems that go way back and have tried over the 2 years of separation to resolve them, but we just butt heads. What do you think I should do wise ones?

i got married right after college, i am an engineer from india. now i am in USA with my husband on a dependant visa, so cannot work. my husband is a very complicated person. he is too conserned abt his parents, brother n friends. he wants to please everyone and expects me to sacrifice for them. he wants me to do all the work for them, act as per their taste and make them feel good but cares a damn abt me. he is so good to others that i cannot even complain anyone abt this, no one would beleive me. he has even hit me 4 times in this 1 year of marriage. i am taking all this coz i have no job here, i am worried abt my parents n sisters back in india, i am so sure if i tell them abt this my parents will surely support me, but i am not sure if i should do that.when he hits me he cries after that and pleads for sorry but seriiously i cannot take all this more. i am just 23 and i am facing all this becoz of him. he a coward, always thinking abt what other think . i cannot live with him anymore

I am 20, and my fiancee is 27. He has a group of friends that he has hung out with for years. Everytime I go to hang out with them they want to drink and go to bars and don't really talk to me so I end up feeling left out. My fiancee is good to me, but when we are around his friends he acts like I pretty much don't exsist and I do not understand this. I try to get along with his friends and make an effort and all they want to do is talk crap about me. They are all out at BW3's tonight....including my fiancee and I went there and they started to do the same thing so I left....am I in the wrong here??

Hi I have been married 10 years and my wife and I had a reasonably good relationship. Then a year ago my wife left. She had been studying new age courses and declared that she was 'on a different path to me' and had to leave. I was, and still am, devastated. I have recently heard that she has moved in with someone from the course. I have seen a psychologist and she says that it is a grieving process, which I understand but the pain is not lessening. Actually the pain is compoundedby me not having any family. I have one sister who lives in the US and I am in Austrlalia. Also I am now past 40, my wife was a number of years younger and I feel that I am very alone. I have friends but they are all married with families. Ostensibly I have things going for me, I have a very good job and I am fit and healthy but I feel in pain and the past is a drag on the future. I want to be able to look at meeting a new partner without feeling the pain of the loss of my marriage. Drew
