I met someone on-line and he lives in New York. I live in Canada.
He has been seperated since 1999 and we want to get married.
he has never felt a need to pursue the divirce until he met me. It seems that he will probably be able to get a divorce faily quickly because of being seperated for so long...I just would like to know how long after he has obtained the divorce must we wait until he can remarry.
We are very much in love and are so surprised to have found each other at this point in our lives.

Did you already receive the divorce decree? You can be married that same day you received it. Go on with your life and good luck to you, best wishes.

As soon as all the paper work is done. If you have the court papers in your hand you can get married.
