Marriage & Divorce - 24 August 2006

Here it goes..I married and had a child at 19. After 2yrs we seperated for 1-1/2 yr then got back together. The separation was me feeling unapreciated and not wanting to deal with his family anylonger. He was devestated and still in love when I left but all I thought about was myself. When I came back I had a ex whom I visited 1x after moving in, he found out and forgave me. We've been together now for over 8yrs and even had another child. Many times I feel disrespected because he is overly friendly with women. Plus, he is not very effectionate and I hate that. I have been totally faithfull and respectfull to him. About a yr ago he started to change and I found myself alone and ignored - at this time I started accusing him of cheating. Well about a month ago I found out he was cheated on me w/my cousins wife (a close friend) He says it was nothing physical but I dont believe him. We had been in theraphy for over 3 months when I found out. I feel foolish and betrayed. Advise?/Help?

my ex wife is currently blocking me out of her life her words are "We will never be together again and it will take a long time for us to be friends again." But she accepts money from me every month because i don't want her or her kids to suffer especially her kids because they have done nothing wrong. i have tried to be nice throughout this horrible situation and now when she told me those words it hurt because we broke amicably and i was only asking her how she was and the reponse i got was sadly ridiculous.
she through everything into her job and started spending more and more time with this chef man she worked with and i got very jealous and this ultimately ruined the relationship our hearts were not in it. i will be totally honest and say i miss her madly but would never do anything to get back with because i know that is not what she wants.
what can i do? my family say divorce is the only answer. but i have no clue as to go about this so any help is welcome

I had 20 years of absolutely perfect credit. When I informed my husband in Oct. 2000 that I was filing for divorce, I was prepared. I was debt free, I paid all my bills and paid off all my debts. Unfortunately for me I was unaware that my ex would set me up and I would be arrested that night. He smiled an evil smile as the police handcuffed me and took me to jail. All it took was that one night in jail he had control of everything, I was let out in the morning and at the hearing I was placed on the no complaint list. He, my ex destroyed all my ID, took my credit cards and withdrew the maximum cash advance's they would allow and closed our joint bank account. All the checks bounced that I had sent out to pay our bills. Now, I can't get a loan and I can't have a bank account. At present I have retained one attorney for the restraining order hearing, one court appointed attorney for the harrassment charge and now I need to come up with a 2500.00 retainer for the divorce attorney.

My husband has been having an affair for over a year, and I've been trying to get him to sign the divorce papers. Sometimes I have a change of heart and think we should give it a shot.

In the meantime, he's been stringing his mistress along. He told her that he was going to move into an apartment (he hasn't signed a lease) and that he's going to get a divorce (paper's aren't signed and he keeps coming back).

Well, I found out that she has set up a moving date to move out of her apartment (thinking she will live with my husband), and she is looking for a new job. He's been staying with me the past week because he has a friend in town, and he hasn't talked to the mistress. It's obvious to me that he doesn't love her so why can't she take a hint and move on without him? She has the idea stuck in her head that they are going to be together. Why?

I have not been in love with my wife for about 3 years. She is a wonderful person but we have had a roomate/brother-sister relationship. All of our freinds know it and while I have been a good provider I have not been the best husband, just exclude her from "guys" stuff and have been unavailable. She is really sweet and a cute girl, but our sexlife and emotional intamacy died years ago. We are in our early 30's and at one point we went a whole year without sex. We have no kids... just animals and we even did try counseling to no avail. My wife was delusional thinking that we were going to have kids one day, while I am not totally opposed to kids I refused to bring them in to the relationship to try to "fix" it. I moved out last week and have finally said that I can no longer live this way... being unemotionally invested :(... I am feeling sad since she will make someone a great wife one day. She is nice, funny, cute and likes football and beer, but I am not in love with her.

My ex husband & I have 3 kids, a 4yr old boy and 2 1/2yr old twins. I left him because of domestic violence almost 3 yrs ago so I sent him to jail for it. I was 2 mos preg w/twins. We lived in Mn so I came back to Tx. He was out in a month, then 2 mos later he was incarcerated again for sexual assault. He was "dating" a 13 yr old girl (his twins sister in law.) They were caught having sex by her father and spent 23mos because of it. He was released as a sex offender. Now he has been in and out because his drug tests don't come out clean. I have been in child support court about 8 times but of course he never shows up because he's in jail. And they can't arrest him cuz he's out of the state.

If he pays child support and if he comes to Tx can he take the kids? Can he visit them here in Tx? What options do I have?

I lost a parent in an accident. In a few months I will be coming into a trust fund. I married a man and did not have him sign a prenup. We eloped when we were very young and we still are young. Now I am of the age to receive my funds. At the request of my other parent I am to have my husband sign away rights to my trust fund. My husband said he would not sign any papers and his family felt the same way and he has now even consulted with an attorney. I am having my paper work drawn up and I feel as though if he does not sign this paper then he will be given divorce papers. I love him but if he loved me then he would sign these papers. I went through hell when I lost my parent and this money is the last thing I will ever receive from him. If my husband and I got a divorce and he ended up with half of it I couldn't bear it. I could get over a broken heart but not a broken wallet on top of it. Maybe I am wrong to feel this way. I need an outsiders opinon of this. Please adivse
