okay if white mothers have a black and white child they just can't do their hair! have you noticed that? i'm birracial but my mom's black so they need to learn from them!

it has gotten bad on several occasions...both are very opinionated as far as how they feel and NEITHER are willing to confront one another and it puts me in a complicated position. they have left our house to sleep in a hotel and my wife doesn't ever want to go to their house again. My wife and parents are people who are hurt easily and are very slow to forgive...how do I fix this? should I even bother trying???

Hello I am 20 years old and visitng my brother and his girlfriend in New York for three weeks. He let me visit 9 months ago also. He wants me to do all the dishes while I am there and clean up his puppies potty when he is not home as his puppy has a habit of eating her potty. I feel like cinderella. Is it fair for him to ask me to wash dishes while I am there. Plus am I supposed to help my mom out with the chores if I live at home? My brother says that I should help out my mom and help her with the cleaning and dishes and cleaning my room. I'd love any opinions from any 20 year olds.

my father always wanted me to stay in the military and when I got shot and was sent home from Vietnam he said "what's the matter? you could only take one bullet before crying home to mama?" when I showed him my purple heart he threw it away(I got it out the garbage) and called me a quitter. I just want to be good enough for my father... I was never good enough for him(he was a colonel in the army. retired afrer 31 years of service.) He always said that I should have died in the military like my brother. Even when I was growing up I wasn't good enough. Whenever I made a joke he would give me a beating. He even had this little joke that he made to himself, he'd say "so stupid..." he'd always mutter it to himself when I did something wrong, I never really understood the joke but he must've really found it funny beacause he said it all the time. Im 18 i have my own car, i can look after myself i know... I dont really want to go with them for a trip for 2 hours with the grandparents overnight.. but its not like ill do anything else here either.. i have no plans this weekend.. so im going to go.. so boring but if i had something on.. i wouldnt go.. its just if i stay all ill be doing is sitting on the computer on my own and going to the beach on my own to surf.

in India i wait on them hand n foot as is the culture there , but here with no domestic help and a small kid to look after , im dreading there arrival . Please suggest tactful ways i can let them know they have to chip in too .Also they like their meals very late and we all have to rise early at 5am for school/office. They also would expect me to wear traditional salwar suits here and i dont want to be an oddity . I need suggestions to handle these seemingly small problems which can be perceived as big offenses by them ( my hubby wont step in this domestic issue , so pls dont suggest enlisting his help ) I have to bell the cat myself.

Okay, first of all let me just say that I know I was wrong to be snooping on my brothers computer and I should mind my own business and respect his privacy and yes I feel horrible about it but I was bored and he wasn't around.So please spare me the insults. Anyway as I was looking through his recent searches and I found that he searched for "pregnancy by foreplay" .He was out with his girlfriend the other day and I think that they did something and hes really worried that she might be pregnant. Her and I got along great till her other daughter in law-whom she did not get along with left town. Now she tries to start arguments between my husband and I and is acting weird in general. She told my husband I never answer the phone when she calls-I work and take care of our 18 month old. If I am busy I don't drop what i'm doing and run to the phone ( if I happen to go to answer the phone now and I see it's her I don't answe it anymore though). She just showed up at our house yesterday afternoon and I was looking something up online (an article I wanted my husband to see) I looked up and she was here (peeping around the corner in the hallway, god knows why she didn't just walk over and sit on the couch. I look up again and she is gone. I figure she is in the bathroom. My husband is standing here and I ask him. He looks and she just left. I told him, I bet ya $10 she got mad and left because I didn't jump up and make a fuss over her. I won $10.

hi i'm 15 and my brother is13
he keeps on hitting me!!!!
i don't know what to do
i hate to admit this but he is stronger than me and is not afraid of hitting me!! and even if my mom or dad say anything he keeps on doing it
he won't listen to anypne
he keeps on beating me up
and he really hurts me
last time he hit me on my lower stomach and i couldn't move for an hour it really hurt!!
i just don't know what to do

My dad is completly taking over my life.
I am 18 years old, and I dont do anything.
I'm not allowed to have anything to do with my friends.
And im am to never see my boyfriend again. I love my boyfriend, and I plan on seeing us staying in this relationship for a while now.
He hasn't even done anything to have my dad dislike him.
I haven't left the house in 3 weeks.
I want to move out ... but he already told me that was out of the question.
I can't hang out with any body.
what do i do?

My son's mother is talking about taking my son all the way to california. We just came from there in april because were struggling,we was in New Jersey up until the last week in July. She always said she wanted to come to georgia and I have family here so we came. because my brother owes me money and I still went to help him out even after not getting paid she gets mad. ?Now she's talking about moving with my son. She's emotionally unstabled and likes to move alot as you can see. What should I do please help I want to take full coustody of my son so he can be stabled.

My cousin is 27 years old and has two kids ages 9 and 2. My cousin does drugs and social services has been involved a few times. She doesn't pay any attention to her kids and hands them off to people when she is tired of them. She also goes from one guy to another without any breaks and not taking time with her kids. I also think that she is stealing stuff to get money since she has no job and if social services get involved again the kids will get taken away and the family won't get them. I'm afraid and I don't know what to do. My cousin needs help, but rehab did no good. She will never change and it seems she cares more about her drugs then her own kids. What should I do? I'm afraid if I turn her in to social services then the kids will get taken away and the family won't see them again. Any advice would be great. Thank you.

I have been home schooled for four years. I truly dislike it. He doesn't send me to community ed because I do not do want to do the things that he wants me to do that are in the catalog ( I honestly do now want to identify wild mushrooms). I used to have friends, but I don't ever talk to them anymore because they are busy and hang out with other people. I live in a childless neighborhood. My dad doesn't like the public schools, because he thinks that they are bad and that they will pollute kids. I never did anything bad at school ( never stole, never got in trouble). All of my ex-friends were nice and good people, yet he still dislikes them! What would help me make him change his mind into letting me go to public school?

me and my boyfriend live 40 mins away. He is the only one in the relationship with a car, but it is not a very good one and he is temporaly staying with his parents and wants his own place. he gets paid under 300 dollars a week. while I on the other hand is staying with my parents and work 2 part-time jobs one I only work on weekends making under 60 dollars a week and the other is twice a month for 3 days in one week making under 80 dollars, and I don't have a car. I am trying to get finish with high school by taking this one last class online whick cost between 100-120 dollars.
The problem is that we miss each other but don't want to move in togther. At the same time we want each other to do the things we need to do that cost money, but gas is too high for him to pick me up take me out and bring me back home. The only two solutions I can come up with is that maybe I could move in with my cuz which is closer to him or we separate for two months til we both get on our feet.

A girl I met several years ago and was on-and-off friends with became involved with my fiance's brother. She has a history of using men. She has a sob story about how the last guy did her wrong, uses his sympathy to get the next guy to take her in. She lived in my future mother in law's house rent-free for eight months. (You get the picture.) Anyway, because we were friends, she told me about how she dumped all her previous guys. I feel burdened by carrying these secrets from my future family, but I don't know a diplomatic way of dealing with this situation. My fiance's brother is naive and reacts in a hostile manner to anyone who tells him negative things about her. She has pretty much ditched him but he is too blind to see what she is doing. How should I handle this?

My sister is going away to college and I'm very happy for her. My parents are going to. The whole problem is that they are going to be away for my 16th birthday. My parents won't let me do anything or go anywhere while they are away. I feel traped and I feel like i should go somewhere because I never do anything for my birthday cause something always comes up. I just feel like I should have one happy Birthday. Now that I know that I can't go any where i 've been acting mean to everyone and I stay in my room all the time. my MIL and I recently have not been getting along at all. my boyfriend & ihave been together for over 3 years and we have a 5 week old son. Were both not talking to bc she is a nasty, selfish, and ignorant women. Were not letting her see the baby since she cant respect us. and she told my boyfriends brother that she is going to take ME to court (as if its just MY child)...is that ridiculous? not only do i not want her around my children bc shes a *****...but she does drugs, and has a tendency to talk bad about people ALL the time and eventually my son is going to pick up on that & i dont want that. Am I wrong? Can she actually do something about us not letting her see the baby?

i've been banned from seeing them, and im not allowed out this weekend, or no money?
