How do you tell your mother enough is enough, she needs to learn to cook without getting her all emotional ?

I have a friend , her mother is always giving us hot dogs to eat anytime we visit, and my friend tells me that her cooking is awful and it isn't really tasty, so how do u tell your other that her cooking stinks when she thinks that she is world's best cook, but in a simple way without getting your mother angry, or sad that,she can't cook?

Just have kindness in your heart when you tell her - maybe you could both take lessons together and cook together too!!
