Not skiving and nicking money would be a good starting point.
Why not just help around the house to be helpful rather than for some sort of reward.

i skived school half a day too as i got caught smoking in school with my friends. They walked out of school, and i decided to join them... i was in enough trouble already, it couldnt get worse!
my parents found out anyway, and they decided that my friends were a bad example for me.
i got the whole talk about how clever i am and that i am wasting it on my friends.
they stopped me seeing them and grounded me. Everywhere i went from then on they would check to see if i was with them and even threatended to move my schools.
i did well in my school work and i did help around the house... making them think i was sorry for what i did. They let me out now, but sometimes still check on me to see who i am with.
i know how you feel!
i couldnt survive without my friends!!!
Since i did well and helped... they trust me a little more. Good luck!! ..x..

TBH you shouldn't have stolen the money, it's no woner they don't trust you!
What you should do is lie low for a bit, maybe offer to tidy up, do chores, yes better grades may help but you may have to end up talking to them.
If that's the case don't raise your voice even if they don't see your point of view, yet, keep persevering the case (tentativley) until you can come up with a comprimise.
Hope it helped

Don' keep asking to be ungrounded, it really bugs parents, help out in the home, be a lil angel, you will have to see out your sentence. They may give you early release but do not ask for it

At least your allowed on the computer you could go on msn, my kids when grounded get all luxuries taken away

First of all show them that you can be trusted.
Keep calm and dont be argumentative, do things voluntarily around the house, chores etc.
Give them the odd hug (don't overdo it !) and tell them you care about them and that you know they care deeply for you.
Smile a lot and mean it.

Yes I wouldn't trust you with last night's rolled up newspaper. Have a look at yourself dear and for once try to be honest with yourself. You Will not like what you see, but you will know what to do. So do it and stop whining
