Im 18 i have my own car, i can look after myself i know... I dont really want to go with them for a trip for 2 hours with the grandparents overnight.. but its not like ill do anything else here either.. i have no plans this weekend.. so im going to go.. so boring but if i had something on.. i wouldnt go.. its just if i stay all ill be doing is sitting on the computer on my own and going to the beach on my own to surf.

My grandparents arent that old they arent going to die for ages and i think we will see them soon cause they are coming down sometime..
And there is nobody up there that is my age.
Except the day after we might be going to church with some random people i kinda know.

You know your grandparents arent going to be here forever... Your family is all you have............ you go....... be bored if you have to be.........but I think you should talk to your grandparents and learn about their childhoods, what it was like growing up.... how it was when they were raising their children......... you might have alot of laughs and learn something in the process..............

Please, go see your grandparents. They love you and you don't know how much longer you will have them. I know what you mean, it can be so boring sitting around all day. When me and my cousins got to be that age, no one hardly ever visited my grandparents anymore. I did a lot more than they did, but not as much as I should have. Now my grandpa is gone and I wish I would have visited them more. I know you're just getting to be an adult and it seems lame to sit around with your grandparents all day, but remember that you love them and how much they love you and want to see you! They won't always be there!

I know it seems dumb and your older and more independent, but just go. Because one day they won't be there and then all you are going to remember is "man i wish i would have gone and visited more often" its only a few days out the year. its not like you have something better to do so just go. But if you really don't want to go why not just say it ? your older now and can do what you want so why lie? but if i was you i would just go im sure your family would appreciate it if you can spend alittle time with them because soon you will have no time for them.

You might be saving your life by going with the family. It's not good to go surfing by yourself. If something happens to you nobody will know. You'd just disappear in the waves.
Who knows who you will meet if you go with the family? Life is an adventure.

What if you meet a great guy/girl on the beach. think about it this way, you're making your parents & grandparents happy, you may meet a great guy/girl on the beach, OR just take a book you've been wanting to read and get alot of quiet time and relaxation in.
