My sister-in-law is under the impression that she is the same sizes as me (which she very much is not) She often borrows my clothes, and when I get them back they are very stretched out or even missing buttons! How can I handle this without hurting her feelings?

I am just sick and don't know what to do. My daughter lately has had sores on her face that she swears is just from "picking the zits" on her face. But these are not the angry red spots from that--these are downright SORES. So I looked it up on the internet and oh dayumnit. I am so sick now with fear and worry and even anger that i could be so easily duped. What do I do? How do I get help for her and for me to deal with it realistically and helpfully (for us both)? Are there some websites you can list or maybe some personal stories of how you dealt effectively or ineffectively with this? Please help me.

my mother has just been home a week from a month stay in the hospital for a heart attack. She is also diabetic, kidney failure and lung disease. She is unalbe to have any surgery due to her condition. So, basilcally she is home to wait and see what happens next. In the meantime she cannot walk and needs help with cooking, laundry and taking a shower and help with going potty in her commode. My father forgets to sometimes give her her insulin and meds get mixed up if me and my daughter do not check daily. My father is to old and forgetful to take care of her on a fulltime basis. My question is my daughter is six months pregnet and not working and I work fulltime and my vacation and sick leave is used up due to taking it off when she was in the hospital. I cannot afford to take off any more work but I heard the state can help with wages and I just wondered if I could split the care of my mother with my daughter and get some help? Does anyone know how to go about it for us?

My adult daughter and I have had a huge blow-up. To tell you the truth, I don't even know what caused it. Something about my computer not working right. She has always been very judgemental of me and can't handle the fact that I am not perfect, which I've admitted to her time and again. And neither is she! She criticizes everything I do. I have two other adult children and they can't believe that she is the way she is with me. It's been like this for quite awhile. I have apologized to her for whatever she thinks I have done wrong in my life. I have apologized for not being perfect. I believe I was a very good mother and did well for my kids, but it wasn't good enough for her. She blames me for everything that is wrong in her life, but then will say that her life is perfect. Everytime, we have one of these blow ups, I'm the one that will reach out to her and tell her that I love her unconditionally. I am so hurt, that I can't find the words this time.

Okay. So here's the story. I was sitting in my living room when my father walked in. Usually he sits down on the living room sofa, but today he did something different. Instead of sitting down on the sofa, he walked into the center of the living room. I tilted my head in confusion as I watched him sit down in the middle of the room. I was about to ask him why he did so, when suddenly he curled up into a hurdled ball, and fell asleep. What should I do?

I need serious answers only. I dont know if this is normal or if i need help!

My son is 3 and his dad was in is life for the first 6 months and then went off with his girlfriend and was rarely in touch with my son. However now he has decided to return and has got his new girlfriend pregnant. He always acted violent towards me infront of my son also.

The thing is I can't stand my son being out of sight! Even when i go to work or uni. I only ever leave with my son with my mum cos she's the only person i trust. I worry my friends will use my son 'to show off' and act as if my son is theirs!

Now his dad wants him & even though i'm apprehensive because of his violence, i also don't want him trying to make any other female to 'play mummy' to my son. I dicussed this with him years ago & he still put my son into his, then girlfriends arms when my son was 2 weeks old! I cried myself to sleep for weeks because of that!

Do i need help or is what im feeling normal?

I've lived with my fiance for over a year. He was in the military in another state and so I lived with him on breaks and summers, and with my parents during the school year. My fiance is now out of the military and moving to the state where my parents live.

We have decided to wait until I finish college before getting married, but I don't see why we can't live together when I return to my home state. My parents approved of us living together before.

My parents have said that they will stop paying for my education and will take me off of their health insurance (I have diabetes) if I move out. Though I respect their opinions, I do not agree with their "conditional love" approach to parenting.

It's not the first time they have held my health over my head. I am an non-drug-using, straight-A college student who is tired of being controlled by my parents. They're only thinking of how this will make them "look." If I do live at home they will call me a "freeloader". HELP!?!?!

I usually take my sister out to play some arcade game 'till we finished the final boss stages. Our favorites are "Time Crisis" series!

If we don't go anywhere, we just cook our dinner together with lots fun chat to do... or read some interesting novel and share our POV each other. The last is "Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows".... and we're going to reread it again! LoL!!

How about you then? Any fun thing to do while dating your brother or sister?

My sister came home tonight and I asked what she had been doing with her friend. And she told me not to tell our parents, I promised. Then she told me that she broke into a locked up school playground (breaking and entering is illegal) and that she had told my parents she was somewhere other than where she was (lying to our parents) and that she smoked a puff from a cigarette. She's 17...almost old enough to be locked up for things like this. She's been arrested before for stealing. And she still steals (from me...I dont see why. im 13; what do I have that she wants?) should I tell my parents about this??? I dont want to be on her bad side because she gets physical and screams and has chased me out of the house before.....should I still tell my parents??? (And no, my parents wont do anything to protect me if she gets physical. they havent cared in the past.)

lMy mother has always been telling me I'm going to be something really great in life (like history changing-wise).

I'ts really annoying me. So far my life has been the mundane-boring-thank-god-I'm-still-alive type life. Everything has been just barely above average but yet basically average. I've done well in school, but not THAT well, I get A's and B's and 2 or 3 C's. I have a large group of friends, but I'm no way near popular and sometimes I feel like an outcast.

I'm just one of those types that some people think are really cool, but noone else thinks too much about.

So the point is how annoying it is for my momma telling me to only focus on school and I'll be something great, and it just makes me wanna do average in school and become a house wife just to prove to her what she is saying is just craziness that any parent might say of their child. I really don't have the kind of motivation someone would need to be great, I just feel like surviving is enough. What should I do?

My parents (well specifically, my mother) are kind of in a feud with my grandparents (mother's side). In a nutshell, my grandparents have apparently favored whichever of their child paid attention to them more at the time. In her younger years, my mom usually brushed it off... but nowadays she's taking it much harder (I guess because she has few things to occupy her time now) and is depressed because of this.

I guess my question is, should I help intervene and attempt to help? Is it my place to say anything?

My mother raised my daughter for the first 7 years of her life because I was too young, busy working 2-3 jobs and trying to finish school myself. She raised her with no rules or any form of discipline. She is very spolied, thinks she can do what she wants, and only thinks of her self. In the past when I tried to discipline her my mother would get in the way and confort her. Now she is a pre-teen (12 years old). Can I change her ways with discipline or is it too late?

I did not worn my son of the possibility of carrying on a genetic deformity. Club feet run in the family and his child had
to have his feet amputated because of it. (it's real obvious that it does run in the family) My daughter-in-law is not talking to me now. I already feel bad enought for everyone involved. Now I'm pushed away for good.

My own twin sister thinks I'm dumb & she thinks she has authority over me. & when I don't give her money or do what she tells me to do, she beats up on me & calls the police on me. One time, she told her husband to give me a ride home, & she told me, "You BETTER sit in the back seat because if you sit in the front, then that means you sexually want my man." I am not attracted to that dude whatsoever! Who besides her wants to be with a deadbeat dad who can't keep a job & leaves them home alone for months & months & just pops them up with babies all the time? But anyway, she lets her friends sit in the front seat with her husband. So what's wrong with me sitting in the front seat? & she's also a bully.

& one time there was a guy who raped me, & she tricked me into facing the guy again because she called me over to her house & lied & said it was an emergency, & I had no idea the guy was there, & I came & he was there, wanting to fight me for reporting him for rape, & she laughed.

My former foster mom told me that in order to lose weight, I have to try to eat healthy foods, even though they might taste nasty. So one day, I tried to eat yogurt & straight PUKED soon as it touched my tongue. & my foster sister just left me to sit there & vomit & was laughing @ me the whole time. & then later on, she told my foster mom about the situation & asked her, "That don't make no sense! Now if you know you don't like something, why would you try to make yourself eat it?" & the foster mom agreed with her & yelled @ me.

This happened last year when I was staying with them after Hurricane Katrina, but I'm almost 24 yrs. old & still get treated by a child by them & they always humiliate me. I'm glad I have my own place now. & when I don't take the foster mom's advice, she tells me, "A hard head makes a soft behind!" But when I took her advice, she yelled @ me. I think they raised us to be confused & stupid.

My two younger brothers ( 15 &17) came home hungry from the gym and asked my sister and I if we cooked anything. We said we hadn't gotten around to it but maybe tonight can be pizza night since we didn't really feel like cooking anyway.
They went and asked our dad for the money and (my dad is a very old fashioned guy) he came out, gave them money and said " That's just for the boys, the girls should cook".
Now, we usually cook ( my sister, mom and I) so it's not a big deal but for some reason, it really upset us tonight. I mean, are we like the maids or something?
We were raving mad and decided to go out by ourselves.
Are we overacting.
