My wife and I are in the process of purchasing our own apartment... and to save money, we are planning to move in with her family until the apartment is built, which is not until July 2008. We are currently renting atm... So, one year I would have to stay with her family. Not sure how our living arrangment gonna be like, prolly like two rooms... one is her old bedroom and the other is the guest room, if lucky. but we have a lot of junk... i mean a lot... so i would have to get rid off a lot of them... every thing from dvds, to electronics, such as tvs, computer, etc... so, it's not that I don't like her family... they are great... but, not sure, if it is gonna be worth the cost of our privacy and doing what ever we want at what ever time.... you know? any good advices?

WHAT DO I DO? I finally ask my new in-laws over for dinner last night, and half way through the dinner, my mother in law informs me that her other son is dropping her grandkids off at our house. Now, I have a 3 year old and a 2 year old in my living room and we're eating dinner in the kitchen. They were unsupervised, you can tell that my husband was upset about it, but we didn't say anything to my brother n law or my mother n law, we wanted to say that it was rude and inconsiderate of his brother and his mother. I made this effort to have a nice and quiet evening with my in laws to talk about the wedding....the honeymoon, but I seemed to be a day care drop off and the evening sucked. Now what do I do? Talk to her and him after the fact?????

First of all, I have to say that my dad is an alcoholic who was never a part of my life. While I was in college, he sent me a small amount of money the 15th of every month. He did this for my sister too. He continued to give her the money for 2 years after she graduated. I JUST graduated, and he told me about a month ago that he'd continue to send me the money until I told him I didn't need it anymore. I'm pretty broke right now and my new job doesn't pay awesome, so I'm going to let him send me the money until he says otherwise. Well... he never sent it this month. I don't want to call him and ask for it, but shouldn't he have told me he was stopping sending it? I was depending on it until I told him otherwise (maybe a few months... but he gave it to my sister for 2 years). What should I do? Forget it or call him? I can't hardly talk to him because he's usually drunk. After he stops sending me the money officially, I'm cutting all ties with him.

My ex-husband and I got married at 27 and at the time he was fully aware that I never intended to have children and he told me he was ok with that. I couldn’t find a doctor who’d let me get my tubes tied in my 20’s so I took every other precaution I had available to make sure I didn’t get pregnant. After 3 years of marriage I got pregnant and was determined to abort it but everyone around me especially my husband begged me to reconsider assuring me I’d feel different once she was born. I ended up having my daughter , signing away all parental rights and divorcing him because I didn’t see how we could make it work with a baby I never wanted in our lives. I see my daughter about four times a month when dropping off the 5 dogs we share custody over. My family has virtually disowned me for not having any contact with my daughter who turned 3 last week. Why can’t they just understand that I don’t want to be part of her life? Note: At the insistence of my mother who adores children, I went to several doctors who all confirmed that I’m not suffering from any type of depression and am in perfect health. I just recently got a promotion with a significant pay increase and have a wonderful boyfriend of a year and just couldn’t be happier. Why can’t they be happy for me?

My dad used to walk around in boxers all the time. He's like 236 pounds, no shirt, no shoes, just boxers. It was a very disturbing scene. He would always... "hang out" if you know what I mean. I told my doctor how upsetting this was to me, so he went out and bought these ugly red shorts, which, to be honest, are like one inch longer then boxers. He wears them out of the house to, with shirts that are to small, and sandals. When he sits on the couch, it's basically a sideways version of the Lotus Position. When he eats, his legs are wide open, and he makes disgusting smacking noises with his mouth. Another problem is, ankles are a major turn-on for me, and he's always walking around barefoot or with sandals. It would be like if your mom walked around topless, that's what ankles are to me. I've already explained how gross his shorts are, but he thinks I'm being silly, and I can't tell him about my "foot" thing, he'll think I'm a freak. How do I get the message across if he wont listen?

I've had such an issue with my dad for the past two years . We hardly ever talk, but my mom and me are very very close. But anyway, my mom started hanging out with this woman at work and going to this club. I understood that because my mom loves music and she loves her friend dearly and she just wanted to go cause of her. Immediately, my father started to accuse her of cheating. One night he slammed the door and nearly broke it and my mom yelled at him until she started crying. Another night he threatened to kick her *** and kill himself. I haven't been able to heal this because me and him never talk. On those nights, i just cried. I'm still trying to talk to him but i dont want to bring the past, and i know if i do i'll just snap and yell til I can't break because of me being so mad. I just want to be able to move on from this, but I'm so still mad. I just want to know if anybody has any advice and I hope i'm not the only one going through this, and I pray for ones who are.

Okay, so i've lived with my mom for since my parents got divorced at age 7. I got a new step dad last year, and a couple of times he scared me. First, he gave me a massage with lotion and made me take my bra strap off so he could work "better". Then one time my friend was over and my mom was on a buisness trip and we jumped in his bed. Well, he said "either scoot over and sleep on the other side or go sleep in your bed." Is it just me or is that kinda wierd? Or do you think i'm just overreacting. Also, do you think i should move in with my dad, who is in the army and is getting stationed to Texas? It would make my mom very sad, but i miss my dad.

Ways besides counseling(already doing) and spankings(too old for that)
