Our 13 year old grandson wants to live with us since his parents divorced.
at what age will the court let me deside?

i think that a child gains the right to pick which PARENT they want to live with, not which adult. if there is no abuse going on, one of his parents will get him. divorce is not a cause to obtain a child.

In TX, at 12 a court will *consider* the child's wishes of which PARENT they want to live with. But you are not this child's parent. You will not be able to get custody, even if the child wants to live with you, unless both parents are proven to be unfit.

Talk to a lawyer, but I don't believe grandparents have any custody rights in most circumstances.

He can pick at 13, but he has to have a very valid excuse and he has to go to court and talk to the judge with his child advocate.
