Family - June 2007

I am so sick of my sister - I am 20 and she is 16 this year. When iw as her age, i was working on weekends and after school so i could earn a bit of money and buy things for myself. I started working as soon as i was old enough to get a job! I work full time now, and am saving up to move overseas early next year, but i just cant take it anymore!

She does NOTHING.She doesnt clean up after herself, doesnt help out at all, she asks for money and never pays it back, is rude, is selfish, swears all the time and doesnt care about anyone else except herself, she has a job but never goes to it.She doesnt listen and doesnt feel she needs to do anythign as she intends on living with my parents for as long as possible. Mum complains that she is the only one that does anythign and that no one helps her out - i always help and always offer, yet this brat gets away with everything. If we argue, my parents back her up - i cant handle her attitude - any help or ideas for how i can?

My step-mother drives me crazy. She is rude, nasty and flat out lies. Don't get me wrong she has a really nice side, but she has these moments where she is just nasty. She once claimed my mother couldn't call me anymore, and ripped the phone off the wall. She once yelled at me because I drank soda from a can instead of a bottle (both were unopen). She claims my sister failed the 8th grade (not true). And once caused a huge scene in a resturant because I got into a car accident. She butts in on my personal life. I no longer live at home and am about to get married. She had gotten better since I moved out, but recently caused a scene in a resturant, because I got frozen bread and asked for new bread (apparently that's wrong?). I had to leave the resturant with my fiance in toe, because I was so mad. How do I deal with this person? I can't stand her, and she makes me feel awful about myself. I can't cut her out of my life, because I would hurt my father. Any advice?

Walmart has endured some bad press lately, but Walmart has changed the very course of my life (for the better!)

I was estranged from my father 5 years when I got a job where he worked: Walmart. As he was walking past my jewelry counter, he said, "Hello" and I replied "Hi, Daddy" and my boss was in shock he was my dad. She immediately sent me on a break and insisted I eat lunch with him. We began our reconciliation that day.
Another way Walmart has changed my life: I met my husband over the jewelry counter! I remember reaching across and shaking his hand, and his father's hand.

I am 19 years old, i'm going to be a junior in college next year and my sister is 16 and is going to be a junior in high school. She is so spoiled! Since my parents are well off when it comes to money, they don't care if she spends a lot. They let her shop at Abercrombie all the time with their money. They let her talk them into letting her buy or do whatever she wants. She makes friends with everyone and buys her friends gifts with my parents money. I told my dad to give her a fixed amount of money per week and let her do anything she wants with that money but he said no because he thinks there shouldn't be "separation of money" between parents and their kids.

What should I do!!! I rarely spend my parents money on my wants. I spend my own money on clothes, other things that I don't need. And my parents are being pushed over by my sister and they let her do what she wants and she doesn't even help much in the house. HELP!!! I wanna show her that money is not free.

I am a twenty year old woman, and I am currently home for the summer from college, however this past week I have run into so much heart ache I cannot bare it alone. As I said I live with my mother, however last week, my mother's husband and I got into a fist fight. It started with an argument between him and I and then my mother came in between us, he pushed her therefore I snapped and pushed him back. the fight escalated from there and he grabbed me and tried to throw me out of the house, I punched him in his face several times. but it was a loosing battle because I lost my mother in the process...she chose to side with him. I am hurt. This has been an on going issue since I was seven years old along with my sisters we have never gotten along. However I know that she has made her choice. How do you move on from this, how can I love her. How can I have a relationship with her, when I don't trust her anymore.

my bro and my cousin hang out. my cousin is 18 and my bro is 13. my cousin has always hated me. i dont know why. she beat me up last week. she dropped out of school, drinks, sells drugs, her parents hate her and she shoplifts. she has sex with every guy. loser!now her and my brother went on my email account and did bad things on there. my brother is giving me messages saying she is cooler than me and he wish i were dead. my cousin is brainwashing my brother. now he hates me. my brother wants me dead. i didnt even do anything and he is sending me mean messages. he never lets me forget that im the incomplete loser. i guess she is cool and im not. help! my brother hates me! she also stole my brothers games and he still thinks that she is cool. he even laughed at me when i got beat up. now he even hates my mom. what should i do? they are making me sick and sad. i cant take it anymore. my cousin is a loser and so is my brother for being with her. i hate them both and want them to die too.

My great aunt died 4 year's ago. People in the family talk about and I just ache inside. She was always there for my mom and I when I was younger. She was pretty much my everything. When people talk about her I just cry, I can't stop thinking about. Everyday I wonder why her, why did she have to die. I am missing a part of me that was ripped out. I told my mom earlier this week that I was getting married next year.

She never once said 'I am pleased' or 'Congratulations'

She is saying that I should not wear a white dress because I am living in sin.

She brought up my ex, when he beat me up, I asked her to help me through it, but she said I had to get myself out of it.

She thinks that I am in competition with her, she has been with my dad for 30 years, married for 17 years.. she had us out of wedlock!!!!

She does not want my dad to give me away because I already 'gave' myself to my fiance.

She called me this morning trying to say that relationships do not work once the couple get married.

I have been with my fiance for 3 years (4 next year). When we bicker, we make up within the hour, when my mom argues with my father, he sleeps in the living room and they dont talk for a week, my dad is always in the bedroom away from her. She says I will never have what her and dad have.

What sort of mother is that?

My Dad is dead but he yelled at my Mom for two years until i was 10, my mom thre him out. She had to work 3 jobs,he comes back after 4 years.. and has no communication with me and puts down everything.. he was too sick to work, dropped dead without a dime in his bank account, trapped my Mom into a marriage where he told her "dont work i will take care of you:"

Why should i care about this guy on father day? My mom wants to visit his grave tomorrow, i told her to go with my sister because im busy.. Oh yea he had no money so they had to put him in my grandmas plot.

My husband and I have spoiled her all of her life. We bought and paid for her braces (orthodontics), we bought her $600 plus in clothing last fall for school. We paid her $50 for every A she made in school. We did all of this b/c we felt bad for her not having a father and a mother (she lives with grandparents who adopted her). We were looking to have a relationship with her but she has grown up to be a stuck up snot. I think it's a case of "having too much." She doesn't have ANY relationship with us at all - never calls, writes, communicates with us for anything - yet always has her hand stuck out if she wants something from us. Well... enough is enough. The most she is going to get from us from this day forward is a small modest birthday gift. We want to teach her that u just can't use ppl for their money and treat them like CRAP!!! :)
