My Dad is dead but he yelled at my Mom for two years until i was 10, my mom thre him out. She had to work 3 jobs,he comes back after 4 years.. and has no communication with me and puts down everything.. he was too sick to work, dropped dead without a dime in his bank account, trapped my Mom into a marriage where he told her "dont work i will take care of you:"
Why should i care about this guy on father day? My mom wants to visit his grave tomorrow, i told her to go with my sister because im busy.. Oh yea he had no money so they had to put him in my grandmas plot.

she tries to make beleive he was a nice man. I told her when i was 10 i taped him yelling and cursing you out, should i remind you?
she says nothing.

She loved him. And no my dad was not a loser, he was the greatest man I've ever known. Maybe you are just remembering the bad things.

your mom has a different memory of him than you do. there was something good between them once even if you didn't see it. take her to the cemetary. whets the big deal? you don't have to grieve for him just do something nice for your mom.

well, its totally up to you. i have a step father i tell father's day to instead of my real dad. YOU choose wether or not to think of him tomorrow. you dont HAVE to, because theres no LAW for Father's Day that states: "You have to love your father no matter what he is on June 17th"
