Your question is a little ambigious. Sounds like you might have two - 1) how many children don't have fathers who live at home? or 2) How many children don't have 'fathers' period. The second question is really a non-question. Every child has a mother and father - whether they are at home with the children is another thing. Many children in the US are living in homes without their fathers. If the statistics are true, in 1999, there were about 34 percent of females having babies out of wedlock. I am sure that number has increased, and you can almost imagine the rest. It's a sad situation that our society's families are in.

Way too many. You can add my four kids to the statistics.

Too many!!!

I think it's very sad. People need to be more responsible and more careful.

Men and Women are both to be blamed for this. It takes two.

Also, someone that distributes sperm for a baby does not make him a father. Those don't count. Father's take care of their children.

Divorce doesn't count.

They all do ... I don't think we're into cloning people yet.
However, how many kids have fathers that act like fathers, that's another matter.

Too many, because their mothers are too immoral and too irresponsible to get married.
