My son wants to do something cool for his 13th B-Day and neither me or my son can figure out what he wants to do. Can anyone give me suggestions?

my cousin comes from a poor family. Her family used to be so poor they could not afford to live anywhere else so they lived in my grandma's house. They finally save the money they need to buy a mobile home, now all of a sudden she quit school and her job and got pregnant by some punk kid she barely knows. Why would she do this to my aunt, who is going to take care of this baby when they can barely take care of themselves????

I am 18 almost 19 years old.. I am very close to both my parentsbut my mother is not letting me grow up.. i wanted to go to college but my mom would not let me.. so i got stuck going to community college.. she wouldnt even let me go to a college 3 hours from home... when i toldh er she got really sad and made me feel so bad for wanting to leave.. i want to move out sometime in the next year but i dotn want to hurt her feelings.. how can i tell ehr nicely that im leaving???

My mother cheated on my father about 6 years ago. I'm not sure how long she was cheating on him before she told him. I heard my mom and this man having sex in the bedroom in the middle of the day. I'm not sure if I should tell my dad what I think or not. He is in real bad health and I'm afraid if I tell him he will have a heart attack.

I am always afraid of being alone and that people will leave me if they get mad at me. When I was younger I never got anyone mad at me, but now people get mad at me and I worry that they won't like me anymore and they will leave me. I know this sounds childish but it is a real fear that causes anxiety. I feel like I smother people and like they won't like me anymore, but I don't know what to do to feel like they aren't mad at me and they still like me... even if they don't respond to me.

leave her alone and my moms husband said dont tell me what to do so my husband told him to shut up or ill take you outside and beat your a**. we all came in at this point and heard it i told mine to shut up and stop it..and then they went at it again to beat each other outside. now my mom and my husband want me to pick sides. my mom thinks i should think that her husband is right and my husband think i should pick his side and my mom is saying that if i dont like her husband then i dont like her and that she isnt going to come around and help me and my family like she does. and im just tryn to stay out of this..my mom wants my husband to apologize but mine dont want to because her husband is an ******.and thinks that he doesnt treat my mom the way she deserves.. and my mom thinks that about mine.. both of them are *******...they both arent perfect. but what am i to do.. go on my hubbys side and loose my mom or go on my moms side and loose my meal ticket.

am working overseas and me and my wife have had some issues lately, shes changed in the last few months, goes out alot with friends, comes home late sometimes. I just learnt today that she was flying out of the country and she didn't tell me. We have kids and she didn't even plan to give me information about who would take care of them, how i would be contacted in case of emergency. This isn't her first time and when we last had this discussion, she promised to be more communicative.
What am i missing? is this marriage a gone deal and how should I take this forward?

I am not my sister, I am myself and a very responsible adult. My sister is older and extremely controlling. My mom does not treat me bad or try to control me, my mom is very proud of me and my family. My sister tries to control my thoughts or way of life. I am not irresponsible, I am a very good caring person who makes great decisions in life. She can not stand it when I do not think the same way she do, and she hates it that I do not hold the exact same religious beliefs she holds. SHe does everything she can to control me. I am a free person in a free country able to think the way I want to. THe fact is I am so sick of being insulted and treated as if I am one of the most evil person in the world because I do not hold the strict religious ideals she holds. She is so mean and has been and I cannot take it anymore. I try to stand up for myself in the most mature way and in a nice way but she stills finds ways to put me down. What should I do?

My son got drunk with friends and was walking around the neighborhood opening unlocked cars and taking change. He only got away with about 5 dollars. After 6 months of twice daily breathalizers, community service, rehab, psichiatrist, therapy, 10 trips to court, about $3000.00 in attorney fees and $2000.00 in court costs he is finally on probation.
If he keeps on the straight and narrow for 18 months and carries out various other obligations, he will have a clean record.

I am so greatful that he will not have a criminal record because he was charged as an adult. They said he could have gone to prison.

I just feel like I have been run over by a truck.

If there are any parents out there that have survived something like this, I'd appreciate any words of wisdom and encouragement

Last year (2006) my friend was suppose to claim me on her taxes because she was the one taking care of me. My mother abused me my whole life and I left home to live with my father (during 2004 and the beginning of year 2005), then I left home and lived with my friend through spring and summer. August 2005- November 2005 I had to stay with my mother to make sure she wasnt abusing my sister. Thats only 2 1/2 months!!! I turned 18 (October 5 2005). So when me and my friend went to go claim taxes they said my mother claimed and she was not supposed to, because I wasnt in school and I had a job and the 2 months I stayed with her she took 40% out of each check I got BC she life aint free! This cant be right Someone PLEASE help me and tell me what to do!!!! She also knew my card number and stole $200 from me to pay a cellphone bill over the internet , now I cant open up a bank BC I have to pay the overdraft fees for Suntrust! Please tell me how do I get the tax money and what she stole!

Generally I have a very high self-esteem. Whenever my sister doesn't get her way she slings insullts at me. Such as, "You're fat", "You're ugly", "You're a freak", and other choice swear words. It never used to get to me but lately they have been affecting me more than usual. Is there something wrong with me? How can I make her stop doing this?

My step grandmother took care of my father everyday while he was sick. He recently lost his battle with cancer at the young age of 43. I would like to write her a letter expressing my gratitude, but I am not sure what to say. I want her to know how much it means to me that she took such wonderful care of him everyday while my step mom and I worked. He was so sick and I know it took a lot of patience on her part to take care of him while we were not home.

I really care about both my parent's , and I dont know what to do, my parent's are going to spilt up , and the house is going to be sold, my mom is going to get her own apartment, and my dad's mom is going to buy him a new house, I'm nineteen and I feel that I need to take care of them both, I dont want to live with my dad, cause he abuses me metaley, and no one cares for my mother, I'm the only one who till talks to my mom, for things she did in the past and I forgive her, I want to live with her, but I think my dad will dis own me, and also will his family, but when I take care of my mom, no one will take care of my dad, I have a sister , who is 16 , but is wild, and wont help around the house, and hates my mom. My boyfriend of 18 months has a daughter that doesn't seem to have had much direction in her 14 years from either parent. I love her and she is respectful to me, but clearly not interested in being "part of a big family". As an only child, she has not had chores or many responsibilities and both parents will only talk to her and not each other.

I openly communicate with my ex regarding expectations for our kids, ie. grades, respect, steady chores, etc. so there is definitely a difference of parenting styles going on.

If my boyfriend moves in with me, his daughter will be moving with her mom during the week (she currently lives with him), and will be with us every weekend. I am dreading this probably as much as she is because it's clear she doesn't really want to be around us. I don't want to take her dad away from her, so I have told him not to move in. He's not happy, I am okay with that decision, and I'm sure his daughter is ecstatic. Are we giving her too much power in this?

my mom drove from virginia to texas to visit for the birth of my baby, her first grandchild. me and my boyfriend are both in the army. while she was here she was smoking pot in our apartment. knowing how we both feel about it. well my boyfriend was very angry when he caught a whiff of it. decided to let it go until he found her bowl and bag of pot in our bathroom and decided she had to go. so he told her she could get a hotel room or go back to virginia. she decided to get a hotel room. then as she was leaving told me she had a dollar no cigarettes and that her and my sister would be sleeping in the car at the gas station. i know thats not true but it made me feel really bad. my boyfriend ended up have a urinalysis today when he went in for pt. so if he had been exposed to enough of it he would have ended up failing. do you think i am a terrible daughter for giving her the boot?

My Dad and Step Mother wont pick up my younger sister from the airport. She went out of town for the weekend. They didnt take her to the airport. I had to drive and hour away to pick her up then another hour to drop her off at the airport. Now she will be back to town tonight and they wont pick her up. I mean she lives with them. Doesnt have a license and the air port is 2 hours away from their house. Now she just called me and asked if i would pick her up because they wont pick her up. Their only reason is "They want her to learn responsibility". Then if thats the case why did they tell her if i wasnt going to pick her up she had to find her own way home?

I'm so confused!I have'nt had a relationship with my mom or any of my sorry siblings for over 10 years due to stupidity and a lot of foolishness and nonsense,well i heard through the grapevine that my mom is in the hospiltal on a breathing machine and has had a stroke! She's 85 years old and the last time that i saw and spoke to her we had a big ole fight and a lot of things were said on both parts that i soon regreted, but for years i tried to make a mends but everytime we would just argue and other siblings would put their 2 cents in and make matters worst!I kinda took myself out of the madness and got on with my life and had'nt seen any of them or spoke on the phone for over 10 years now.I;m afraid if i try to just see her all hell will break loose again..what should i do? I don't want to seem phoney by showing up and bawlin like a new born and i don't want to have it out with my siblings either.

Im 17 yrs old but my mom keeps treating me as if im 12 or 13. She's always talking about the clothes i wear (mind you im 17 and i wear what ne normal 17 yr old girl would wear low cut shirts, mini skirts etc.) I've tried sitting down and talking 2 her but its hopeless. she also wont let me get a job or my permit and when i ask her why she simply responds "bcuz i said so". Now our family is having a reunion in a few months at a water park and i've asked for a 2 piece swim suit and she flipped out on me. I told her 2 4get it and i would buy it 4 myself and she replied "im telling ur father or ur older brother and cousins wouldnt like u in that" (& not 2 be rude but none of the 3 above do a damn thing 4 me...seriously!!) Im confused... i do the house work, my grades are good in school what more can i possibly do? I want to just buy the thing myself since she wont for me but i dont want her to lose her trust in me.Should i buy the swim suit myself or pick something else out?

I had a miscarriage and noone cared..everyone blew it off like it was nothing.Most of my siblings didn't even call me.There were even rumors started that it wasn't a miscarriage,but an abortion.My sister had one a little while ago and everyone's acting like it's the end of the world! I'm pregnant again and noone's brought up the idea of a babyshower or called to see how I'm doing..just like last time.I'm still married to the father of my first and this is our second.My sister probably did'teven know who the father was....why do they treat me this way?
