They could be wondering how long will they have to enjoy your presence.
But tell mom and dad, I love you and you are making me feel really unwelcome when you constantly ask me when am I going back to Dublin. If they stop enjoy the rest of your visit, If not pack your bags.

If your over 40, I think you should go back to Dublin, no questions asked! Between 30 -39, you should be putting questions to yourself as to being asked questions by ya parents on that matter. Anything up till then, then ya just a scrounging human being that thinks the world owes him/her everything. Hope thats a help.

First, how old are you? If you are over the age of 21, then it is a possibility that they want you out. If you are in your teens, well, just grow some balls and let them know (in a very polite way) that it bothers you when they ask you that. Often times, a little communication goes a long way!

i don't think they're trying to get rid of you. they probably think that you'll have a better life/more opportunities living there than with them. you should ask for their reasoning on why they continue to question [almost pressure] you about returning to dublin.

I'm 32 & though have a boyfriend, live with my parents. It's cheaper!!! They've given up on hints. Just ignore the hints, they'll grow tired of it eventually. I now have the cellar, converted into a basement flat...Ha!!! Jo won!!! xxx

Just tell them you are not going back. BTW how old are you? If you are over about 30 I have to say I would agree with your parents about trying to get rid of you....

Have you asked them if they are? I would ask them if you are a problem for them, or if they are just wanting to know for a speacial reason. Don't be afraid to ask them, parents can often make us feel something the are not intending for us to feel.

I don't know what they are trying to do. They probably aren't trying to get rid of you though. Just go and talk to them about, tell them how you feel. Good Luck!!!
