Generally I have a very high self-esteem. Whenever my sister doesn't get her way she slings insullts at me. Such as, "You're fat", "You're ugly", "You're a freak", and other choice swear words. It never used to get to me but lately they have been affecting me more than usual. Is there something wrong with me? How can I make her stop doing this?

she has low self esteem and tries to make herself look and feel better by putting you down. I know that hurts alot. You need to tell her directly how you feel when she does this- use "I" statements, don't place blame or alienate her by making her seem the guilty party even though she is.
An "I" statement would be something like this- "I feel horrible when you call me names and I don't feel that I deserve to be called these names and I want you to stop doing this"

Try discussing how this makes you feel with your sister. She might be able to understand. Remember she may be feeling insecure and feeling that she needs to put you down to feel good about herself.
Try to look at these comments as feathers that you brush off your shoulder. They are just her feelings of insecurity.

No there is nothing wrong with you. It's natural to second guess yourself when someone tries to bring you down, but it's also up to you to over come those insults and rise above them. Keep your head up. Things will be okay!

Something wrong with u? I don't think so. Something wrong is with your sister and you may only ignore her or ignore her requests for some time.. i can't guarantee you that it'll help you but maybe you'll notice something new in your and sister relationship

There is nothing wrong with you.
CHances are, she's not happy with herself, and she thinks that by cutting you down, she will feel better about herself.
Don't pay attention to her comments, they don't mean anything. Try to talk to her about what's going on in her life that is making her so unhappy.

Your sister has issues. She thinks by putting you down, that will somehow elevate her. She is verbally abusing you, and you should speak with your parents about it immediately. They, as good parents, should put a stop to it immediately.

there is nothing wrong with u for getting upset when tour sis insults u. dependin on what type of person she is u shud tell her how she makes u feel when she says those things.

there's nothing wrong with it getting to you... talk to her and tell her to stop putting you down... have a calm and civilized conversation with her. if she keeps doing it, just maintain your distance from her for a while until she realized what she's lost.

she might be PMSing and taking it out on you or just might be having a tough time with sumthing and taking it out on you
Pretend that it don't bother you and it'll prob eventually stop
and if not talk to her
