My step grandmother took care of my father everyday while he was sick. He recently lost his battle with cancer at the young age of 43. I would like to write her a letter expressing my gratitude, but I am not sure what to say. I want her to know how much it means to me that she took such wonderful care of him everyday while my step mom and I worked. He was so sick and I know it took a lot of patience on her part to take care of him while we were not home.

what u just wrote will be a great start. Build from that and you'll see that it'll just innately flow like it has done so far. Just speak from the heart and I'm sure she'll appreciate it even more. Do not worry about trying to say the "right" thing it won't matter! What will matter is whether or not it is perceived to be from your heart ok!

Wow! All you have to do is write what you put here and she will know. Saying whatever comes from the heart is what will show her the best, not fancy words or sayings. And give her a big hug too! Good luck to you and God Bless.

P.S. I am very sorry for the loss of your father and pray that Jesus has him in his arms.
