My mum and I have always had a tight relationship untill recently. I've hit my teenage years and I've just been a little crazy. She sees it as treason twards her. I'm not trying to hurt her, but every time I try to talk to her about it, she won't listen and takes anything I say as back talk. All I'm trying to do is have a conversation, you know, two people. Please, how do I talk to her without her flipping out on me?

My dad just got out of jail and is trying to get help and can't see me for two more months. I know that does not sound like a lot but when you have not seen him for 2 years it is truly a lot. I miss him and everytime I think of him I start to cry and run to the bathroom. One time I actually threw up. I need help. I go to a support group but it doesnt help. I am in need of help.

Everyone is mad at me today! i am a freshman in high school, my brother is in the 7th grade. today, my brother comes home complaining that these kids are cheating off of him on tests. its happened on several occasions, and he LETS them! which is why i see that he is to blame, and no one else. well, after he threw a hissyfit, screaming and running around, getting loads of attention, EVEN MORE THAN USUAL, i came up with an idea to help him. the idea was to talk to the teacher before the next test, explain that kids were cheating off him, and then fudge up his test. the teacher would then see the same mistakes on the other kids tests! good idea, right? Wrong. i was the only person in my house who thought so, anyway. so, then after dinner, i get to wash the dishes, for the 5th time this week, and my brother has done it? NONE. so i refuse. my mom starts getting angry and my dad starts to scream, and i yell back, and before i know it, everyones screaming at each other and its all my

I am getting married in August. My Fiance', Ryan, would love for his former Step-Dad to attend, but he has lost his number and can't get anywhere. I have never had to track someone down before especially out of state. His name is Paul M. Wilson in Hainesville TX and also has a post office box in Mineola TX. Ryan's Mom's name is Jan. Can someone please point me in the right direction that won't cost me a fortune? If I have to spend alot of money to find this man, I guess I will. Any info would be great! Thanks!

My ex husband has chosen not to be part of our 4 yr old sons life. He was abusive and is now on his 3rd child since we split up 3 yrs ago. My son asks alot about him and I kinda dance around the answers and just tell him that his dad lives far away and maybe when you are older you can see him. He asks if he could call him but we haven't heard from him in over a year. (I don't know where he lives all I know is somewhere in Delaware and I don't have a phone number)There has been no birthday cards or christmas cards since we split. How do I approach this with my son? How can I make sure that his fathers lack of care and concern for his son won't ruin my son.

(I know 2 Q's at once, sorry all)..My daughter is in the 3rd grade, her teacher reminds me of someone I had in the 70's (way before they had the "understanding" they have today. )One of the things that aggravates me is her demands that I sign everything. And I mean everything!! One example for you, My daughter was assigned to do a book report, no problem, notice sent home that i am supposed to sign that "I realize my child has been assigned a book report due Feb 5th"( this was assigned last month)"and I agree to it. then a place for me to sign. I didnt sign and send it back, she came home today with the same letter, NOW ON BRIGHT YELLOW PAPER!! with red pen..lol and a big circle indicating where I should sign. I dont want to hate this person, but for 3rd grade?? ugggg

My cousins, 9 and 7 years old, are coming down this summer. They are going to be here for 2 or more weeks, and from past experience I realize I need to plan activities for them WAYY in advance. Does anyone have any good ideas? The 7 year old is into Polly Pockets and similar stuff. The 9 year old acts like a 14 year old and is into that sort of stuff, but I need ideas that are suitable for her age.

My 12 year-old cousin has been visiting and lately she has been very disrespectfully toward my siblings and my mother. Recentally she has been mumbling under her breath after we finish speaking to her. Today I believe that she mumbled a curse word to me.

I don't really get on with my Partner's Family. My son who is nearly four has just been to my partners sister's house for dinner. My Son has never said that 'I don't make nice diiners' before and always tells me that he's missed me when ive asked him. He's never had dinner at her house before and this particular sister and myself clash. He's just informed me after been there for the first time without me and his dad that i don't make nice dinners and when asked wether he's missed me i got a very blunt reply of 'NO'. What would you make of this, considering i don't see eye to eye with my patners family? Honest answers please!!!!

for the second time my daughter's (10yrs) father has walked out of her life and taken his financial responsiblity with him. the first time was about a year ago when he heard i was engaged before i had the chance to tell him, the second time was for no reason just before september. i told him then he was not to do it to her again as it really hurt her the last time. i think his mentality is if he cant have me, he doesnt want to be a part of her life. disgusting mentality! hes always had the hope we would get back together. ive called him, been round to his on new years and he agreed to call her the following day. getting any decent explanation or anything at all discussion wise is like trying to get blood out of a stone. ive had no help from him financially since october and now the crappy csa has disbandoned. hes living at his sisters when hes not meant to be, so im afraid of getting her in trouble. i phoned him last night to meet me and he made up a lame excuse. my daughters upset.

I'm flying up to visit my cousin for the weekend. He's 8-years-old. We don't have a lot in common. Whenever I fly up there, we never can find anything to do together: He likes to read...I like movies...he likes history...I'm more about today's news...He plays tennis...I play soccer...He likes to swim....I don't even like to shower(I still do anyway...everyday) I can't help but think, "It's gonna be a LONG weekend" Anybody have any ideas of what I can do with my cousin? I really love him, it's just so hard to relate with him.

I am 20 and my bf is 21 and the thing I dont understand is that his grandma hates me spending the night. The other night I feel asleep and it was 2am and I woke up to her banging down the door saying she doesn't like it. i dont want to sleep over there I just overslept. But when I tell my bf he just tell me not to listen to hear and she just bored and want something to say. But what really confuse me is that at one point his baby mother was living there when her parents kicked her out for being pregnant. And on top of that his younger sister (18) has a baby. I dont understand how me sleeping over there is such a dislike to those examples.
If it was up to me I wouldn't even go to his house anymore. I feel that is very weird he has a 2 year old daughter and gives his grandma dame near all his money when he get paid but can't have his gf spend the night. I respect what she is saying but it my bf that makes me stay over night. I know you may be wondering how he do that but he find a way.

My parents are saying that visiting me in jail was very tough for them and they don't think they can go through it again. I know there's the glass and stuff but it means alot to have them visit when you are just hoping for visitors to break up the day. I'm 21 and things were good before I was in jail but not so much since I got out and got into trouble again with a DUI on parole.

I'm having a tough time with my parents at the moment since getting out and now that I am probably going back in again when I go to court next week. I know what visiting is like when you're locked up but not really what it's like from the other side.

If you've been through it from the other side how did you find it if you've been through it?

You've just left your spouse and it was a horrible breakup. Nobody in the family wants to have anything to do with you. Do you attend their grandparents funeral, sit with the family and try to go to dinner with the family after the funeral?

She complains that though she had said something about it no one in the house will do anything to help her have her privacy. There is issue with interuptions during homework time and she is suffering in her grades because of it.

imoved away from home 2 yrs ago and had no family at the place i moved... i've made many friends etc, but i'm experiencing a coldness from my family... last week, i told them i was going to see a big star in concert and none of them said have fun or anything.. they instead constantly put me down, e.g. saying am a liar and basically making fun of me.. my father once told me that my sister was better than me simply because she had a job and am just trying to get myself together in a completelydifferent country... i haven't heard from them since i told them i was going to the concert... they've told me before that i disappointed them although i managed to graduate from college and don't live under their roof anymore.. i am now seeing a man who respects me and treats me well and they can't even be happy for me.. all my mother will say is that there's h.i.v going around! there's so much to be happy about yet i feel so sad cuz i feel they don't care.they haven;t called.. not even my sis's.
