on saturday last week i skipped the basket ball game and went to the cemetary with my boyfriend. we hung out until the game was way over and the friend that i went with had everyone looking for me... even my sworn enimy, michelle. but still, i got home, and my mom said that when she was 14, she did the same thing, but she was raped... how can i apologize to her if i don't know what to say???

Your friends wre looking after you because that is what girls do..... understand that splitting off alone can possibly be dangerous. Maybe not with this guy but maybe another.
Tell your mother that you now understand all of this and that you realize that staying safe and aware is the way to go. That you realize that bad things can happen. No further apology will be necessary as this is what she wants to hear. Your mother believe it or not knows a bit more about the world and only wants to know you are safe. Have you not seen enough on TV where someone says "I can't believe this happened to me"?

She is very concerned for your well being.... You have to take into consideration what has effected her life.... This is an AWFUL crime your mother was an innocent girl... just as you are. And she doesnt want you to be sorry, she wants you to be aware!!!!!! your best interest is at hand.... She wants you to be responsible ..... and knowing you are where you say you are going to be is responsible... Not being there is irresponsible... And if something were to happen to you, can you imagine all the confusion to her, your friends, neighbors, police.... every one would be reflecting a search from the ball game you were at... not the cemetery.... let her know where you are going to be... tHAT IS PROBABLY ALL SHE WANTS...... Sounds like you have a Wonderful Mom..... Let her see how wonderful you are too....
