Not necessarily. I don't match either of my parents. And yes these are my biological parents. Besides the fact I look painfully just like them, I asked to make sure I wasn't adopted.
My mother has A+
My father has AB+
I am A-
So we match on the mix of A blood type but I'm negative they are both positive. Apparently both sets of grandmothers are negative blood type.

If you're not your mother's group, you should be similar to your father. Should. Not necessarily though.
Certain rare blood groups are the result of two parent's blod groups conbining in a new way. AB for example is fairly rare, usually from an A and a B parent.
You have to be either the same as your parents or a combination. Certain combinations are impossible. Being AB if you father is A and your mother is O for example. There's no B anywhere in there to start with.

It is possible to not match either, although rare your blood type may be a negative with your moms being positive or vise versa or you could get a blood type from another genetic area of your family. When in doubt, find out!
