I'm flying up to visit my cousin for the weekend. He's 8-years-old. We don't have a lot in common. Whenever I fly up there, we never can find anything to do together: He likes to read...I like movies...he likes history...I'm more about today's news...He plays tennis...I play soccer...He likes to swim....I don't even like to shower(I still do anyway...everyday) I can't help but think, "It's gonna be a LONG weekend" Anybody have any ideas of what I can do with my cousin? I really love him, it's just so hard to relate with him.

if you cant find something to do together make you could both make a sacrifice and you could try something he likes and he could try something you like.

You could try playing tennis, going swimming and reading to him. None of the above will kill you. Then maybe he'll play soccer, watch a movie and not go swimming with you.

I think you should play board games cause it sounds like your gonna have a really boring time. If you don' t change your expectations of the weekend before you board that plane, it's a lost cause. Hope you can do that.

it relies upon how long the weekend is, as we've in India in basic terms one Sunday that could be a short weekend certainly, ofcourse i like to spend the day completely with my relatives and contain myself in my universal pastimes, listening to large soulful music, ha the day ends here with a non violent notice.

Well, the Superbowl is Sunday, so that afternoon is taken up.
Take him out to eat and then go the the Mall. Surely there will be some interest you both haven't though of.

Help him with some homework, play a game, if you try, you can find something to do. Family is important and worth the effort!

Ask him if you do something that he likes, then he has to do something that you like. That way both of you are going to have some fun. Take care Heather
