Situation is this...she is sixteen years old. She has her own room with a lock that does not work. Her own brother also at times enters without her permission but her stepbrothers do so as well. She complains that though she had said something about it no one in the house will do anything to help her have her privacy. There is issue with interuptions during homework time and she is suffering in her grades because of it.

A new lock has been purchased but no one is fixing the problem....how can that be solved when the mother can not acutally go and tell the father how to run his house.

Could she put in the new lock herself? It's not usually that hard. You could have her practice on one in your home so she would know how to do it. If that won't work, and you can't keep her from staying over there, you might pick up a plastic door stop at an office store and have her use that when she wants privacy.

Let her come and live with you!!
If you are this concerned for her why don't you offer her a room at your house.
There is 'little' that you can do or say as far as 'making' her dad put the lock on the door!!
Obviously she is complaining to you about this,
so I'm guessing you're probably her mother or
a friend. Either way, things won't change at her house unless she demands the change..
Even though she is only sixteen, that doesn't
give her dad the right to treat her with such
disrespect. She needs to tell him this!!!

well i would definetly have a talk with the father and the step mother about this because she could be getting dressed oneday and they walk in on her and if that does not work then you should buy a lock to put on her door yourself,or you should move her in with you.she is a girl and girls need privacy.

I would tell the father that if he can't rectify the situation, you will keep her out of that house.
You could also help out buy buying her a door jamb to use on the inside so they can't walk in even though the door isn't locked.

I agree that nursing properties do not get rid of homes of those who're entering into those centers. in case your father pays privately for his care, then you definately haven't to any extent further something to agonize about your father dropping his homes. yet otherwise to pay for nursing his homestead is through hybrid products, annuities, opposite loan or by potential of Medicaid. in spite of the undeniable fact that, your father desires to spend down his sources first in order to change into eligible for Medicaid advantages. Your father could also preserve his homes by potential of procuring ltc coverage. This coverage product supplies you complete advantages that could want to cover nursing homestead, homestead care, assisted residing centers, CCRC's, individual day care and the likes.

Put a new lock on the door. They are really cheap, you can get one at Walmart. You can either changed the door knob lock or put a dead bolt on the door. Either one costs under ten dollars.
