Family - December 2006

My Dad and me are always arguing and we don't seem to be gettin better at getting along!! He always comes home and sometimes for no reason he'll start yelling at me!! Every time i go out he starts saying that i'm just getting out to see my boyfriend, which is not true!! So please give me some advice on what to do!!

I haven't seen her since she was about 7. She was always in our thoughts, however there was a family disagreement which keep her from seeing us.
My cousin had been molested by somebody in her apartment complex (long story), the man who did this is currently on trial for his crimes. Here is the problem: my cousin seems to think he did nothing wrong (she is still a child and doesn't know she's been taken advantage off by a piece of ****) She may also have tried some drugs. Most of my info. is rumor, since we have been out of the mix for a while.

So my next question is - If your in our shoes, would this change any of your opinions? Would you still take her in?
Don't think by me asking any of these questions I am against it because of her history, that doesn't factor in, it just makes it harder. I just want your opinions.

I feel like nobody takes me seriously. I'm a senior in high school almost 18 and it has really been bothering me lately. I personally think I am a mature person. But things like, me not having a license, a job, and not participating in school activities or sports (i'm not exactly athletically gifted) give people the idea that I'm a joke. Or at least that's how it feels. It's not my fault I don't have a license or job..my mother won't let me get my license because she doesn't want our insurance to go up but even with me offering to pay the difference she won't allow it. That is not even the point though.. the point is that nobody takes me seriously because of these things. They look at me like I'm not up to par with them until I get these things. I know I should just ignore what they think because it's what I think that matters, but easier said than done. Does anybody know how I can get the message across that I wanna be taken seriously?

my sister is four years old and my mom is completely aware that she isn't supossed to spoil her but she is!! my sister is the most annoying little girl you've ever met, or me. haha. but if she doesnt get somethin at the store, shell lie down and cry her lungs out. then mom gets it 4 her. i no its normal. but she 4: she breastfeeds, she gets 3 packs of crayons and I get 1 pack of pencils, 4 each. Then, if she has a fight with me, or her friendzzz, then she calls them or me: stupid head, shut up, you dont matter, im gonna hit you, im gonna scratch you (which she does occasioally and it bleeds). WE DO DISCIPLINE HER. but she just wont listen. shes drivin every1 CRAZY and my dads out sometimes cuzzz he has work in another country and reva just even drives her friendzzz crazy.

ive been with my chap for 3 years now and im 5 months pregnant
we didnt plan it but are both over the moon, he is really close to his mum and i do really like her and have always made an effort to invite her over and stuff.
when we found out i rang her on several occasions to tell her stuff yet she has never rung me to ask if im ok, she speaks to her son all the time and ive never heard her ask how im doing, then yesterday he brough a card home from his auntie for xmas which didnt even have my kids names on just said the boys.
i know im emotional at the moment but feel that they dont really care and i dont want to hurt his feelings or cause an argument because its his mum and i know how much he loves her, its her 1st grandchild and i just thought she would have shown a bit more interest.. am i being stupid do you all think

I have two sister-in-laws, that have alot of contempt for me and I don't know where it is coming from. I live in a small town and these two seem to make it a point to bad mouth me every chance they get. I am there for them anytime they need me and I don't butt into their relationships with my brothers unless I am defending them, so I wouldn't think that is the problem. I don't know how to handle these two anymore, I do have a feeling I am going to eventually lash out at them. One SIL will actually disrespect me in my home, and try to start arguements over anything, but I don't play in to her. I help them out anytime they need me to watch their children, and have great relationships with my neice and nephews. I have tried diligently to not be confrontational with them over this matter, but I am at my wits end. I respect my brothers and their choice in mates, but wish they would muzzle their wives.

I am a divorced mother of two, run a business and go to school full-time.

This has really been bothering me for the 3 months that she's been pregnant. I'm going to have to get married, and support a mother and baby, and hopefully, I'll stay around whenever I can. But I just feel this gaping loss... like all my freedom (that I didn't used to know I had) is now gone.

I grew up in an irish/italian family with a lot of brothers and sisters.
And the rules for he boys were not the same as the rules for the girls. My mother was very strict with the girls and even when I was engaged I was expected to be chaparoned the few and far between times I went away with my fiance at that time. Yet my brother could go away with his girlfriend while we was living under my parents roof and not much was said, he got all the leniency and I was treated like I was five years old. Forgive me for being crass or crude but the private part on is born with will determine how you will be treated if you are a girl the rules are stricter if you are a boy it is not. I know girls are the ones who get prengant but it is the guys that get them pregnant in the first place shouldn't the rules apply to them as as well? Why is there such a double standard? Why is it that the girl always have to be accountable and the guys arent at times? This is a question that has been on my mind.

I am trying to gather as much information as possible. If you had a cousin going into foster care, would you step up and take her in?

Some general family info - We (hubby and I) are in our 30s with two boys ages 3, and 6. Money is - for lack of a better term "stable" but not great, we do OK. We love children, but have to admit are kind of scared of jumping into the ring with a teenager (lol) with no experience at it. So we are asking everyone's opinion - What would you do? seriously, really stop and think, put yourself in our shoes. Do you take her in? Please answer Yes or No, then give a reason

There is more detail to the question in regards to my cousin's history, but I want everyone's opinion based on what's provided, or with out being influenced by her past. I will ask another question with all her history later.

I like to know how much time you nude daily ? And why you are well dress-up ? Well, i will tell u about me, i am 17yrs old,i am complete nudist since 1 year old . I never wear any clothin my life! i am completing 32yrs on the 16th of december,and i look 24,at least thats what i get to be told.i come from a very not so poor family,raised by two not so old then people,grand"parents" which tried to do just about everything for us,meaning me,my cousin brother and cousin sister,i might sound like i have no appreciation for what they did for me,however my grand parents have the way of doing things the apparteid way,if i may say so,when my cousin sister do things they get to be worshiped coz she's depandant and educated,and when my cousin brother do things he gets to be yeald at and then it goes away,i feel like i'm being panished for my late mothers sins,that she was an alchoholic,and she left us her kids unattended,and they had to find us,raise us,and we didn't turn out to be what they wanted,hence i'm staying with a step mom,and have no idea where my two brothes are,maybe i disapointd them when i had a child,i sometimes feel lost,its like i have so many questions,without answers.
